She who says we're excluding her and she should be helping, it shouldnt' be down to just one person blah blah, has said/done the following things, I must get preggers and have a boy asap, looked like a cats back side when asked were we having a horse and carriage and heard the answer was yes, when told the rehersal is the thursday and they really need to get their hotel/b&b booked said they had asked how much a taxi was from London to suffolk as they're coming in the morning and going in the evening. I did finally say what i have wanted to say all this time " that i guessed that meant she wasn' t planning to be there to support her son the day before he gets married" which i personally think it's terrible. She still has asked about nothing else so as for being excluding she's talking out of her derrier!
sorry for the garbledness of this email, there's just so much going around in my head at the moment. If she want's to get to know my family and help then how's she going to manage that turning up just before the wedding starts?
Maybe i just have little sympathy with her, yes she's got ailments but they're both still able to get around, gossip about the neighbours and aren't bed ridden. I know my dad would cross the world to be there for me at the time of my wedding despite the fact that he's been told if he wakes up he's lucky, and is fighting to stay with us.
Once again sorry for the long email and the confused ramblings
If I hadn't known better I would have thought that your MIL was my mother except she's in Suffolk already and making faces about travelling to Yorkshire! I had roughly the same conversation with her yesterday I was sooo pleased that she's not coming the night before as I can then enjoy myself with my friends who are staying at the venue with me.
You're not alone Lemon weddings seem to bring out the worst in some people.
PS didn't have the preggers bit coz she'd already asked me if we were only getting married to have another baby - I'm 40 we have 4 children already between us and the oldest one is 19 - I think not - lolOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Sounds pretty similar to my MIL too lemon... We were excluding her, and also because I didn't rush my family round to her flat to meet her we were keeping them from her.... My dad lives 20 miles away and works nights... My mom just didn't want to lol.... Also because she called once while I was in the middle of putting dd to bed so I just said "Oh hang on, i'll put D on..." I was being funny with her... Oh and of course we weren't grateful enough to her for everything she'd done for us!(ie string us along making promises and not fullfilling them, telling us how we should do it 'properly' like it was some big high society do and making us book things we didn't particularly want because again, it was the done thing and of course she would pay for it...) :-\ That's why she went to the hotel and withdrew the money.... She also has ailments that stop her from going out a lot (she thinks people stare) and OH thinks she had no intention of coming to the wedding in the first place, and also she only paid the lump sum so she could show a receipt to the dwp because she was being investigated for getting rid of savings... Once she had the receipt she got the refund... But that's purely speculation obviously... We haven't spkoken to her in 6 weeks.... OH is waiting for her to get in touch... I know it's only a matter of time before he caves and goes grovelling to her telling her how sorry he is.... She's a manipulative *insert expletive* and has him completely wrapped around her finger... She's constantly lett him down his whole life and yet he's always trying hard to please her... Win her approval.... It's sad to watch!
Ooh, was quite good to get that out!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I lived in suffolk until 5 years ago - would be far better if it had some decent roads :rotfl:. Takes me 3 1/2 hours min to get back and its only 160 miles from where we live in lincs :eek:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

My mum has lived in Suffolk nearly all her life other than when we lived in essex when I was a kid - I really hope she's not thinking about moving :eek:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

I got quite excited yesterday... We got our first RSVP through the post! Sad isn't it... And also quite annoying, I think most people assume we know they're coming....
Oh and his mother's pop her little head up again... apparently full of remorse.... We shall see... Off to rearrange the seating plan to fit her back in...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I too am frustrated with people who think they don't need to reply. Plus some don't seem to realise that if they don't turn up on the day, you'll still have to pay for their meal!
My dress hasn't arrived yet so am hoping it gets here in time! The guys have got their suits so we're nearly there.
Got a week off in 3 weeks time so will buy shoes, make table plan etc.! Starting to get excited now!
Anyone got any suggestions for music to walk down the 'aisle' to (non religious as it's a civil ceremony)? The only thing we've found we like so far is 'when you wish upon a star' (instrumental) since my H2B won't let me walk to Mr Bombastic!

            Hello,
I'm new to posting but not new to the forum or site, I always read for tips and tricks!
I'm getting married on 6th September in a church at the end of our street and I cannot wait!
I'm sorted with most things and have just details to sort with photographer, florist etc. We are having a buffet meal for our wedding breakfast as it is almost half the price of set meal and much more choice.
I just wanted to join in with the September gang!
I hope everyone's plans are all going smoothly.
