Skipsmum, hope your son is ok!!
My mom had loads of people turn up to the registry office when she got married but the room could only fit about 20. Only family went in and everyone else loitered around on the grass outside... It was a load of bikers... Even made it into the Express and Star!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

My veil arrived this morning... I put it on with my headpiece... Felt all bridey for a minute... Got all excited too.... Don't know what I'm going to do with it now though. The instructions that came with it said to hang it up but I don't have anywhere high enough to hang it... It's long!! MOH is coming over this week to hopefully help me sort out underwear so I'll make sure I have a quick wear of the dress with the veil... Think I'm going to get some beads to jazz it up a bit more too...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Thanks to the MIL which is annoying because we had a really nice day yesterday, went together and booked the flowers and chose a balloon package for the reception venue... Oh and we bought a kitten yesterday too!
What presents have you got for your bridesmaids? I am struggling on ideas of what to get.
Also does anyone have any ideas of what to get Best man and Ushers?

Getting weighed in 10 mins... Know I've put on... Not that fussed though, got far to many other things to stress about at the minute (though trying really hard not to cos the eczema doesn't need any excuse to flare up and my feet are itching enough already!)
Our bridesmaids are doing quite well out of us really, have got them a me to you bear picture frame with bridesmaid on that we will put a photo in and give them after the wedding.(£6) We're getting them a little jewelry set each from https://www.yoneed.com of earings (£2 older bridesmaids only) necklace (£2) and bracelet. (£3) We've got the youngest bridesmaid a me to you bear in a bridesmaid dress (£8), and the older 2 are having compacts with engraving on from https://www.connick.co.uk (£14) plus we've bought the dresses and tiaras and we'll be getting them shoes as well. I'm struggling with what to get my MOH though... She's bought her own dress, head piece, is looking at jewelery and is insisting she'll buy her own if it's pricey... She's even offered to pay for her own flowers (but I won't let her) She's my aunt as well as my best friend so I want to get her something heartfelt not a standard gift... I know she really wants a set of spice jars from ikea that are about £5 for 4 and she wants 12 so she never buys then because she thinks it works out too expensive for spice jars... I'm thinking of getting her these... I know it's something she wants... But it's not very weddingy...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Morning all! What a lovely day to think about weddings! Finally made my wedding invites - I did scrolls tied with ribbon and popped into cardboard tubes with some freeze dried rose petals. Total cost for 40 invites was £68 (and that's cos the rose petals were £22) and they've gone down very well!
Almost all sent out now so that's another job done.
Started a diet properly this week so fingers crossed.
Sorry to hear so many of you have been ill - are you getting stressed?
I haven't thought about present for bridesmaid (my daughter, who is also giving me away) but will see how much money there is left - if any!
Have a good wedding planning week!

Hi ya everyone,
been a while since I was last on, had a browse through the last page on the thread, hope everyone is getting on ok, life has been very hectic for me the last month, what with work and kids I have hardly done anything to do with the wedding and am finding it hard to get back into the wedding spirit, plus I have put on about 6lb because I have been so unfocused, so I must get more focused again.0 -
hi hope the kitten is settling in well, i'm desparate for a puppy and my mum stupidly told me there's daschsund puppies advertised in her vets so that's make me want one even more.
My bridesmaids have also done well, but they are my sister and neices, they've got necklaces, their outfits and my neices are getting 'build a bears' with outfits. I'm going to make my sister a scrapbook journal as a special something.
We've got all our gifts for everyone except OH parents and don't have a clue, may be back to the digital photo frame but they are so expensive. Need to keep our eyes open for a sale.0
