Hi girls,

i forgot to post my weigh in last week - think i am just trying to forget it really!! i put on 2 1/2 lbs :mad: but that was over 2 weeks and i was sick so not too bad really (well thats what i keep telling myself)

i have my weigh in again tonight so hopefully i have lost what i put on? i am really focusing now, i worked really hard at the gym last night and now the weather is warming up i have decided to start swimming again after my workouts so hopefully the weight will be sliding off

got to sort out wedding rings this weekend, decided what food we want from caterers just need to let them know and confirm it - i still feel like i have so much to do and not sure what to start with, i even have nightmares that things are going to go wrong.

Littlel glad you got your dress, do you have any pics? i chickened out of getting mine from China as i was having serious nightmares that i would end up with the worst dress and that i wouldn't be happy so i took it as a sign and i have ordered mine from Berkatex bride (not MSE price tag though, but it is lovely and nothing else made me feel like this one did) after reading all posts on the ebay wedding dress thread i now realise it would have been safe to order from China but it's too late now

Welcome to the gang new recruits!

It's going to be wierd watching you all get married and drop off the list... I'll be one of the last ones :eek:

Someone asked me today if I was nervous yet... Think I have been since we booked the church! But so looking forward to being a Mrs!!!

MIL was supposed to go and make a payment for us today, she's been promising it and backing out since November last year and this is the 2nd time she's given us a definite date she will be paying.... The coordinator at the hotel hasn't called so I'm guessing it's not happened... again... Honestly, that woman is making something that has been pretty much stress free so far waaaaaaaaaay to stressful for me... My eczema has been up and down for weeks (pompholyx is a joy!) And much as we keep saying 'we'll assume she's not going to pay and do it ourselves' it doesn't make it any easier!

hi i'm always being told i'm very calm but i guess i'm hiding some of it well, not that i am worrying about things too much. I was more worried whilst i was trying to finalise the budget, but i guess that's the MSE in me. I'm not surprised you're getting frustrated with things not being done when promised, i guess that's why i'm being a bit of a control freak and making sure it's me that does things or i end up keep checking back with people, it must drive them crazy. I can also sympathise with the eczema, i've realised with a change of job that mine was agravated a lot by stress and it's starting to get worse again but that's probably linked to work as well as the wedding.

well i went for my weigh in and lost 2 1/2 lbs, pleased with that, i am really going to focus now and i have enough things to stress about like the rest of you do without having to stress about not losing the weight so i have to be good.

i too have been stressing about money that has been promised to us from a family member (my dad), when i told him about our plans to marry this year (we decided 2 years ago) he joked and said he would have to work overtime to save some money to help pay for it- last year was a terrible year and i lost my stepdad (he bought me up as his own since i was 3 so i thought very highly of him and classed him as my dad, so understandably we didn't do any planning until early this year) so when i called my dad to tel him it was still on for this year he again said he would send me money each month as this would be easier (he lives in portugal)- he said this at xmas and we still haven't seen a penny, we have decided to assume he isn't contributing as it makes budgeting easier and if we do receive any money it will be a bonus.

he also has been on the sick for the last couple of months due to a foot operation and i have recently found out that he hasn't even booked his flights to come over for the wedding, he said that sick pay doesn't stretch to that, :mad: now am i wrong for being angry that he hasn't booked his flights yet as he knew about our wedding at xmas and said he would be there no matter what - surely he should have booked his flights then - when he comes over for a normal holiday he books them straight away - this is another thing i am getting stressed about as he may not even get a flight and be able to be here.

Well done on the weigh in chickenprincess! I didn't get weighed last week, had a date with my fianc! instead, dreading this week though, have done no excercise at all, just can't find any motivation and now DD is ill and flaked out on me so that's it until she's better....:doh:

Well, MIL called last night to say she'd been and paid! :dance:Although it was about £150 short of the figure we had but she insisted it was what the hotel had told her it was going to cost... Called the hotel this morning and she told me the figures she was basing it on were the ones we originally said which was 3 adults short and 2 too many children... and she didn't include the charge for the childrens drinks! Upshot is, I don't mind finding the money for 3 meals seeing as I've not got to pay for 33 and the hotel won't be charging us for childrens drinks as it's their mistake.

Quite a relief now though, it means there stands a chance we'll be able to pay for this wedding... And if we're really lucky and any of the tight wotsits in my family cough up... We might even get a honeymoon!

Welcome to the list Phil! Looks like 20th of September just became most popular date...

Ok, we're getting close now, 4-5 months until the big days.... So when are you sending out the invites? OH is desperate for us to send them and thinks we should of done it weeks ago... I think the end of May, beginning of June is still plenty of time... I've got to finish making them for a start!!

I've sent the main invitations out already as OH was panicking that people may book holidays etc, i still need to send the evening invitations out and as i am also making them myself i have been putting it off but suppose i should get them done
