Well all the invites are finished (including OH extra ones...) most handed out, a few that need posting and some family ones still sitting on the side but they know when the date is... Sure I'll get them out before August.... (and of the ones we've handed out, not had a single RSVP so far!)

Went shopping today, got all but 3 of the gifts, just my mom, OH stepmom and my MOH to go now... and I have no idea what to get any of them really...

Got shoes for the smallest bridesmaids, have decided to leave the bigger ones to their own devices... Got OH shiny shoes too... He's very pleased with them...

And thanks to whoever suggested the Primark umbrellas, I bought 2 today for a whole £6, they're great quality for the price too! (Got 2 ties for my dad and brother too seeing as the miserable sods won't have hire suits!)

We're getting there slowly... Found a salon in the local town that does hair and beauty, thinking of popping in on Wednesday and see what kind of deal they can do me for hair, make-up fake tan and nails... If they can do it for less than £100 then I'll enjoy being pampered on the morning!

    How's everyone else doing?
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

    Hi gang..

Am quietly having a nightmare see Fat Tulips post about Landy!!!!!

Am waiting for my dress from her so hope this is all scaremongering..

We have had 2 unable to attend so i didnt think that was too bad..
Hair Trial due in the next couple of weeks and found a lovely lady who does make up for the more "mature women" er im 33...just to straighten the record, but i thought she mite do a nicer job than some of the lovely young ladies at the local boots counter. They seem to get oranger and oranger everytime i go in and they have always got that odd coloured bright lipstick on. So i thought i would give this lady a bash as im sure she wont smother me in all sorts of stuff AND all MSE will be pleased she is only charging for her time!!!
So will give you all an update later
Krystletips you seem to have all your pressies well done you..i am still not sure what to get the 8 and 9 yr old bridesmaids

    Not long now...

We got the 8yr old bridesmaid a me to you bear with a little picture clip and it comes in a box that says special bridesmaid on it... We've also got all of them a me to you photo frame but they won't get these until after the event.

For DD we popped to the build a bear workshop and got a blue and white bear (matches the colour scheme) and bought it a wedding dress. She loves her teddies! (oh, and she's 4)

Edited to add: The whole Landy thread seems a bit like scaremongering to me too... And if you have a shipping number then it's on its way to you I'm sure!

we seem to have gotten most people time pieces as gifts the men have watches and the ladies who have helped have little ornaments which sum them up and have a clock in them. We got OH parents a digital photo frame and my parents some patio furniture which was in the sale (bargain). Still waiting for loads of rsvp's i feel i need to chase people now, they've had 2 weeks or more but i supose i should wait until the date stated on the cards

Had an up and down week... Just found out the band that were booked to play have decided to go their seperate ways.... It was my brothers gift to us so he's chasing around trying to find someone else... OH wasn't happy because the original band did covers of classic (80's and 90's) rock tunes but the new band aren't quite so mainstream and do a fair bit of their own stuff... He thinks people won't enjoy it so much if they don't know the tune... I think they sound good... And think people would prefer a band they don't know over a cheesey dj any day.... But it's a work in progress....

I did something exciting today.... I've got an appointment to have my hair done at my usual place but feeling a little aggrieved about the whole thing... It's an expensive salon (I have waist length hair and only get it cut for my birthday so figure I can have the luxury) and I usually go for a senior stylist so pay a bit extra... When I booked the hair appointment for the wedding they told me the girl who does wedding hair will cut it and do a trial a couple of weeks before which is fine.... But she's a junior... And wants to charge full cutting price and full styling price so it would work out £90 in all... And then she rang and re-arranged my appointments twice.... I wasn't pleased but couldn't figure out another option....

Then I discovered a salon a bit futher up the road, I popped in today to see what kind of package they could do me and they've offered me: Hair cut and style for free, with a free make up trial the week before. Spray tan the day before, Hair and make up on the day (with eyebrow shaping), full manicure (Including hand waxing and hand and arm massage)with nail painting for a whole £110!!! I was so happy I even booked a full body wrap for before the fake tan for a special offer of £22.50. I'm still saving about £77 with what I'd budgeted for make up and tanning elsewhere! I just can't wait now, I think I'm looking forward to the pampering almost as much as the wedding!

that's really good krystaltips, i'm treating myself to a manicure, pedicure, eye brow wax and eyelash tint before the wedding but it's from a voucher i asked for for my birthday. It just seems that at the moment it's the little things which are racking up the costs.
It took us ages to find a band, we're getting married the weekend when all the villages round here are having their harvest suppers and dances so there's been a fight for a ceidleih (sorry can't spell it) band. I'm so looking forward to it though

Well I've finished all the favour boxes, have decided to put cadburys dairy milk miniatures (20 for 99p in the 99p shop) in the ones for the breakfast and love hearts in the spare ones and just dot them round the evening room (imagine the children will eat those lol)

Bought myself some sparkly white slippers for putting on when my feet start hurting (about 5 mins after the photos!)

Booked an appointment with the pastor thats marrying us so we can sort out the service and provisionally booked a date for the rehearsal (it's the day after my planned hen night but it looks like I'm having 2 of those anyway!)

Tried my dress on with the hoop underneath (any excuse to get it on!)

Had an idea on how to lay out the seating plan and started getting the information together for the tables (we're naming them after butterflies and labeling them with pictures and some information about the species on the back.)

Think that's it for this week.... 11 weeks to go!

i had a lovely weekend with OH, not long till he moves here. Unfortunately had some fun with future MIL. She who says we're excluding her and she should be helping, it shouldnt' be down to just one person blah blah, has said/done the following things, I must get preggers and have a boy asap, looked like a cats back side when asked were we having a horse and carriage and heard the answer was yes, when told the rehersal is the thursday and they really need to get their hotel/b&b booked said they had asked how much a taxi was from London to suffolk as they're coming in the morning and going in the evening. I did finally say what i have wanted to say all this time " that i guessed that meant she wasn' t planning to be there to support her son the day before he gets married" which i personally think it's terrible. She still has asked about nothing else so as for being excluding she's talking out of her derrier!
sorry for the garbledness of this email, there's just so much going around in my head at the moment. If she want's to get to know my family and help then how's she going to manage that turning up just before the wedding starts?
Maybe i just have little sympathy with her, yes she's got ailments but they're both still able to get around, gossip about the neighbours and aren't bed ridden. I know my dad would cross the world to be there for me at the time of my wedding despite the fact that he's been told if he wakes up he's lucky, and is fighting to stay with us.
Once again sorry for the long email and the confused ramblings
