    Hi Everyone :hello:

Sorry head's a shed sorting out running the rally and organising the birthday bash within it, inviting friends and rellies to the BBQ on Thursday that DH doesn't know about yet:rolleyes:. Praying for a dry day/evening. Also how do you fit the food for a party into a caravan size fridge!!! Luckily only 10 miles from home, so may have a few trips backwards and forwards! Also repeating it on Saturday for some on holiday on Thursday:o

Been shopping today for raffle prizes, cheese for C&W night(s) and some beer, plus of course the natural Tea & Coffee making goods.

Pee'd off with the lack of real summer, and after this my 60th in a year or so will be in Spain! Had almost 3 weeks at home, that is far too long:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Enjoy France MW Moiliere is back in the UK atm, visiting her new grandaughter. Looks like early Oct. before I get back to Spain.

    DG

p.s. MW you asked if BIL & wife did not envy the lifestyle we have - No they think we are mad, and will not even coming out to Spain for a visit, it would cost them for a passport, and they cannot afford it. They are coming to see DH on his birthday now, due to their daughter bringing them - but in the day time cos they don't do BBQ's. When she has a birthday bash for her young kids, we are invited with the wine drinking mates and and not the morning Grandparents visit;). Chalk and Cheese, they do look alike DH & his B but that is where it stops.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • We are still in the UK, don't yet have a booking for return to Spain but early September is a possibility.

We have really enjoyed our stay here in spite of the weather; we have been here eleven weeks now so will be good practice for our six-month stint next year.

Thanks everybody - I missed you all. Hi Francophile - I am going to a place south of Toulouse. Have fun with your visitors. DG - it all sounds exhausting but I am sure it will be great. Your BIL and Mrs sound a right pair - just feel sorry for them. Wierd pair.
Bon Voyage SDW - and a safe journey.

Hi, folks. Yes this thread has been very quiet lately.

Think we are all fed up with the flipping weather. What a summer for you, SDW!
Sounds like the DG celebration will be a great one! What a pity we couldn't go instead of BIL!

We have missed the boat with the good dollar exchange rate.
    Bon voyage, MW.

I think one or two or them (the usual noisy ones) :rotfl: are holidaying!

Have a great time, think we are heading back to Spain at the end of the month too.

Some of us are working ...

However we're off SKIing in Fuerteventura next week - in fact this time next week we'll be there, probably crashed out recovering from the horrendously early start.

And I only have 3.5 days left at work to get a TON of stuff done ... so time to end my delayed lunch hour and get nose back on grindstone ...

  • Have a great time Savvy Sue.

    We're still in UK.....

Have a lovely holiday S-S my latest ski-ing decision is to stop getting side/back ache when I iron, and get my old cleaner back to iron once a fortnight. :o

  • Sounds excellent DG. I have an even cheaper solution -don't iron.

Seriously, we only bought an iron and ironing board in Spain in case the house exchangers wanted to use them. We didn't have one until May this year. :)
