Orange broadband massive saving for loyal customer

Options
I have been with Orange since the freeserve/Wanadoo era and have had the same package for all this time.
Live box, 2meg for £33.99 a month

Phoned them today, had my bill slashed to £12 per month with 3 months free, a brand new updated live box, 4meg speed (my exhange max).

This will be save me over £300 odd this year alone!

All for one phone call, older Orange customers should do the same.

I have been thinking of ringing them as I have been with them since freeserve and pay £18 for 8megs but think I could get a better deal elsewhere. Have you got the number you rang for Orange, thanks

How come it took you so long to wake up and smell the coffee? Have you been in a time warp for several years?

No luck for me, just rang them said Im paying £17.99 for 8mg and he said that was the best he could do, unless they took over my phone line etc, he could not speak very good english so it was a job to understand him.

Decided to give Orange a ring on Sunday as I was previously paying £17.99 a month for a 1MB connection

When I told them I wanted to cancel as I was moving to O2 (£7.50 a month), they said that as I've been with them for 3 years, they could offer me the following:

    - 6 months free and 6 months at £9.99 (works out at £5 a month over a year)
    - upgrade to 8MB
    - free Livebox (which I can plug a phone into and make free calls to 01 and 02 numbers anytime)

Obviously accepted this offer! The guy I spoke to said I should ring back in a year and they would offer me another 6 months free! :D

You obviously got someone who understood what you meant, the guy I spoke with said he could not offer me a better deal unless I took out a phone line with them, then he went on about mobiles.
