Ive wanted a Panasonic one for ages but couldnt afford it.
I had a look through Littlewoods Direct yesterday and they had one, so I opened an account and found a £30 off voucher for being a new customer. Total £51.26 (plus Quidco 8%) and I can pay over 3 months! Yay!
Waiting for it to be delivered today! :j0 -

I've tried to download the manual but I can't get it off the Panasonic site.
I tried the brioche recipe and although nice, I didn't think it was a very close resemblence to the Brioche in shops. We have however made the iced buns using the sweet dough recipe and they are delicious.0 -

Its my brithday at the end of this month and to be very honest there is nothing I really need or even want for me. However we are trying very hard to change our ways and be thrifty and sensible as the good folks on here and bread makers seem to feature heavily.
So, I've decided I'd like a bread maker to go with the buckets of soup we make. Does anyone have any recommendations of great ones they couldn't live without or turkeys they wish they'd never bought?
Thank you in advance.

The best we have found to be by far is the Panasonic.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0

Can I just say ...(eek hiding) I don't think you need a breadmaker (to make bread)? I make mine every day & use my Magimix (my hands are arthritic or I would do it by hand)....I've now got it down to a really simple process that I can do while making other things it takes me about 5 mins. I try lots of different flours and OH will vouch for my bread.0

I recently bought a cookworks bread machine out of argos was £25 in the sale. Its pretty good for making bread and jam in it. Recently tried focaccia and pizza dough and both were brill, really light and fluffy.

Hi kissjenn,
There's a recent thread with lots of recommendations for different breadmakers that should help so I've added your thread to it to keep the replies together.

Thank you all and especially PW for putting me in the right place.
Consensus definately seems to be for Panasonic SD255. We love seedy bread so it sounds perfect.
So like the good little DFWer I am, I look around for the best price. Cheapest I can find so far is Amazon but I'll keep an eye out for someone having a sale.
Thank you all again...I'm excited...It's bread....I need therapy:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Dear All,
I think you experienced breadmakers may be the answer to my prayers. This is a great thread, thanks.
Here goes... I have a Morphy Richards Breadman Pro (at least 5 years old) Used it loads. I have moved 3 times in the last 5 years and cannot find the instruction manual anywhere. The machine has 13 cycles, all numbered, so no clues there!
The amount of disasters are mounting up, only the birds are happy! do any of you have any advice please? It does not seem right throwing it away and buying a new one.
Any advice is gratefully received.
Many thanks
