Which is the best home breadmaker?

I guess I just want to be sure that I'm going to be able to stop buying shop bread if I commit myself to a breadmaker lol!

I have been concerned about the negative reviews concerning the paddle on Amazon too. But there are just SO many positive and glowing reviews (the overwhelming majority actually) that I think maybe they've just been unlucky and got a bad batch? I don't know, bit confused but I think I will take the chance.

I bought a Panasonic breadmaker last year after reading all the reviews on here from folk who use them too and am delighted with ours, and have never ever had a fault with it. Wonderful machine and so glad we bought it.

When my beloved old breadmaker died last week after years of use, I thought I'd never get another one that made such good bread. With great trepidation I took the plunge and bought the Panasonic SD254 from Makro. Well I have had to eat my words.... as well as a crusty white loaf, a wonderful wholemeal and the yummiest spicy fruit loaf. Now where did I put that diet sheet....

I got my despatch note from Amazon through today - said that Kenwood BM450 had despatched and the price was still £29.99 - I am thrilled to get such a bargain! Hope you got your despatch note too BandC.

I'm glad you got your dispatch note RS. I've been regularly checking my Amazon account and as yet nothing new to report. It just says waiting to be dispatched. Boo hoo.

Why? Have people been ordering the breadmaker and getting a blender instead? The despatch clearly says Kenwood BM450 Breadmaker and according to Amazon T&C's the despatch is a firm contract so if I get a blender they will have to replace it with a breadmaker because that's what they said they were sending me!

They are sending the blender, when you call them, surprisingly the bread maker is no longer in stock and a full refund is offered!
