I got one of these to slice my bread, it's worth it's weight in gold!

Argos have a cookworks one that's a few pounds cheaper:

I ordered the Panasonic from Amazon early on Tuesday morning. It quickly went to dispatchig soon and has stayed like that. I spoke to them today and it actually isn't in stock and they are expecting stock shortly. I asked them why they didn't e-mail me or allow me to cancel and get it elsewhere but no reply as yet. Still showing as dispatching soon so there's nothing I can do. I'm not impressed with them at all!!0

It would drive me mad having to get that out of the cupboard everytime I wanted to slice a bit of bread & then wash it & put it away.
Does that not bother you?
Or do you slice a loaf at a time?0 -

Well it is the Kenwood one that was on Amazon for £29.99 and when I put my order in there were only 2 left. It still is showing on my account as waiting to be dispatched (est. delivery 19-26 March) so please let me know if yours arrives ok. I can't believe what a bargain it is! A few people on Hot UK Deals had put in an order but some weren't lucky as they had sold out and Amazon have taken the page down.
Mine has that despatch date too - wonder if we will get one?Jane

The slicer folds up so it doesn't take up much room on the bench but mine lives on top of the fridge!Dum Spiro Spero0 -
I slice a loaf at a time and keep it in one of the big Lakeland stayfresh bags, so it's just like a shop bought cut loaf. If I'm just slicing bread I don't bother to wash it because it doesn't really get dirty, I just wipe it down with a damp bit of kitchen towel.

I like things away in cupboards, thats whats stopping me buying a BM. I'm not sure where it will live, they are quite tall.0 -
