We returned from the USA on 10th Sept after travelling through California, Nevada and Arizona. Bank of America charged $3 per transaction but US Bank had no fee.
Enjoy
Bank of America do not charge Barclays customers. Most UK banks will have a reciprocal agreement with one of the US banks.Gone ... or have I?0 -

doubtful.... this is why you need to take some cash with you, rather than relying solely on atm's, especially at the start of your trip..

I don't like paying a fee and will avoid if possible $3 is not too bad on a $600 withdrawal at a rate of $1.635 to the £. This compares to $1.54 at M $ S at the moment. I would also prefer not to carry too much cash with me.
It's all down to choice I guess.Don't let them grind you down; fight for your rights0 -

Thanks, just tried the US Bank in Capitola, California charged $3 so I guess that leaves the Union Bank....but hey ho, it's hot, sunny and I'm on holiday so I'm not too worried about the charge now that I'm here!0 -
Off to Florida in 2 weeks time.
Any recent visitors got any update info to confirm which US ATMs either charge or definitely do not charge a local extra ATM fee when using Nationwide FLEX debit card to withdraw cash please?
( I will be taking some US dollars in cash with me & I will use my Nationwide credit card for purchases, dining, etc as much as possible of course ! )
Any latest info appreciated. Thanks.0 -
Washington Mutual which charged no fee in California was bought by Chase Bank and still charges no ATM charge on a Nationwide Flex debit Card.

Haven't found any no charge ATM's. Recently back from the States and certainly Suntrust, Wells Fargo and Bank of America all charged me $3 ATM Usage Fee on typically a $300 withdrawal each time using my Metro Bank UK debit card.0

If you have a Barclays debit card you can withdraw cash from BoA ATM's without a transaction charge.0
