well what can I say ds1 was going to the shop and I happened to mention I hadn't been able to get the lottery tickets as the machine at Asda was broken down I'll get them he said but I need some ID (first time getting them since he was 16 last year) well the only thing I have is his birth certificate so I gave him that and said be careful not to lose it and guess what he's lost it and he only went to the corner shop so was gone 10 mins now I'm not sure what to do it's not like a bank card you can cancel is it but it still leaves him wide open to identity fraud

Sorry, meant to add - years ago, a few weeks before we moved, he disappeared. On moving day, the neighbours said they'd keep an eye out for him and ring us when they saw him. No-one spotted him. TWO YEARS later, he jumped through the kitchen window - how on earth did he know where we were?

It took him 2 years to travel just under 2 miles. LOL.

    welcome to hev:hello:

i hope puss cat turns up safe once it gets near teatime haribo, is it sunny where you are, it might have gone to do its 'business' and found a warm sunny spot and had a kip

tru thats a brilliant story about your cat, its amazing when you hear about things like that.

my father in law has just rung, hes got a cancelation at the hospital so hes got to go in tommorrow for an ecg to make sure hes fit for the op. then on friday hes got to go in and have a wisdom tooth taken out of his jawbone thats not come through, hes 80 and never had that wisdom tooth but that area of his gum started hurting a couple of months ago. x-ray revealled a cyst over the tooth, they've told him they will have to chip away at the jaw bone till they find the tooth then take that and the cyst out.
The phrase if it aint broke dont fix it comes to mind:confused:
they are only doing it "incase the cyst turns into an abcess if the tooth starts to erupt, the poor guy is 80 if it hasn't come through by now i doubt it will.

given the boys early tea now im off for the church run to choir rehearsals, Dh is out tonight so im having a lazy night curled up with my knitting

We had a cat did that once. Literaly the day we moved it walked back a couple of miles to our old house.

Sorry your cat dissappeared at Christmas Tru. This one is quite frail but it's just such a mystery why she isn't in the garden.

Hope you find her, Haribo. Is there a chance she's wandered into someone's shed and got shut in?

Ours had cancer, he's already had one ear removed and about a year later it returned - on his nose. Obviously the vet couldn't cut his nose off :D so we could either spend an absolute fortune on sending him to a specialist place 30 miles away or leave it alone. Because of his age (15) the vet recommended that we leave it because he wasn't in any pain and he was eating and drinking, etc. If he had treatment, it would make him ill - radiotherapy amongst other things - and he'd die of old age before the treatment was over.
