Do you have any chocolate Janey - melt it and stir the crumbs in, then let it set into a kind of traybake.

Janey - lambs have arrived?????
Anyone who isn't yet braindead from free bingo - does anyone actually win anything? I'm still checking every hour for tickets but haven't won a thing that I can see.
Received confirmation of my next [STRIKE]small stooze pot[/STRIKE] CC acceptance, so that should be available to transfer next week. I'm hoping to start making a little bit of interest at the end of this month.
Hen run now in pieces stacked against back of shed, much better than lodged across the wall! Visitor has asked if I'd do their tax return and how much would I charge?I'm totally rubbish when it comes to asking for money from friends, so I said they could make me up some wooden troughs for growing my lettuces and help build the GP run.
I just hope they don't arrive with a bin bag of receipts, invoices and bank statements and then expect the job to be done in one night!

Have just qualified in the course "How not to cook a sponge cake"
Got top marks in fact :rotfl:
Cake stuck to tin....it was well greased but I had no greaseproof left to line it. Its now a pile of (very tasty) crumbs on the draining board.
I think it might become a trifle before DH comes home.
I have found an expired jelly in the back of the cupboard and a tin of pears which I think says 2006 on the bottom but I can't be sure
I have boiled the remainder of the expired eggs and will make DH some sandwiches for when he finishes work. If the eggs in the cake don't get him, the sarnies should.
Good thing I bought a mega supply of Charmin (18 rolls for £4):T
That'll teach him to blow the budget.;)
  :rotfl:
PS I am qualified in a related course... "How not to cook a loaf of bread"... anyone need any bricks?? I wanna breadmaker...

I'm qualified in how not to win a penny in free bingo, how not to make Italian ice cream and how not to cost up jobs for friends
Just checked bingo again and there were nearly 4000 players! Why am I still claiming free tickets everytime I check? Faith in the law of averages or sheer lunacy. one or the other.

Loving the cake story Janey :rotfl:I've just qualified in 'how not to go out for your anniversary because your vet's bills are too high'.
Nyk, I am undeniably and unashamedly green with envy - I still think free bingo is absolutely pants (prove me wrong, G***, go on!;)). Congratulations on your fantastic win! :T :T BTW, which one were you in when you won, do you know? I've been plaing in 'country' and 'dreams', with the odd 'castle' thrown in :rotfl:The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

I have been a secret follower of this thread from almost day one and my monetary habits have slowly but surely changed over the weeks, so thanks to all of you.
Always having been careful with weekly shopping (I cook all meals from a standing start, so to speak!) I am now even more careful - to the point of avoiding my 'treats'.
If this is carried on for 2009, I will join in then - at present I am, and have been, in the throes of sorting out finances. Been at it for months - my excuse is slowly, slowly catchee monkee!!
Debts (nothing 'major', fortunately) were cleared late in 2007, now it's just getting things in line.
One question, if I may. I make my own bread using a food processor and the oven. I see that some of you use a bread maker. Which is the cheaper method? (See what effect all you nice people have had on me!!).
Oh, and congrats on the centenary celebrations.

Welcome Partymagic! Glad to hear our frugal ways are helping you. I'm not sure about the answer to your question, but I bet Nyk has a good idea! The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000
