Good evening all
I made it to the Co-op for my special buys and forced myself to spend more than £5 so I could pay by card and collect my Tesco points along with my dividend points. I was annoyed that the only lemonade I could get was £1.27 for the big bottle of Sh... you know who but I'll save the empty for the plastic bottle greenhouse :rotfl: Then all this talk of W**kers crisps and what do I spy? An offer! 2 x 6 packs for £2. I had to pay full price for the Elmlea to complete my trifle but then made up for it with 4 cloves of garlic for 99p and, wait for it.... drrrrrrrrrrum roll........ they were clearing out ltre bottles of sterilised full cream milk for 25p each :j I wanted to buy them all but only managed 4 in the basket because I'd also picked up a bag of porridge oats for making hobnobs. Co-op is only place near hear I can get own brand oats (55p). I had my huge bar of turkish delight from shopping trip earlier in the week, so I just pigged out tonight in front of TV.
Must also add, I did fish with hm parsley sauce for dinner tonight, so that's the first cut taken from my (price reduced) potted parsley from my wndow sill herb garden.
Complete spend for the day - £6.71
Hope you all had a good day and remembered to mark it as a special occasion. Catch you all tomorrow and cheers for still being here 100 days after the launch of this challenge.
Back again, forgot to say... DS spoke to neighbour who just moved out and asked him about his chicken run. He said to help ourselves to it as it was dismantled and left to be binned!! :j It will do for the GP in the meantime.I reserve the right not to spend.

Morning all.
Sun is shining and my free daffodils from last week are still gorgeous and spread out into three vases, providing glorious flashes of yellow as I write at my desk.
Thanks Shaz for your answer to yesterday's query.
Have another question today, and this one is for the accountants. I have been browsing Lloyds and HSBC business accounts web pages. Can someone please tell me what accountants use 'client accounts' for? Why would an accountant hold funds on behalf of a client? (I may not have understood it correctly anyway).
Off to check my online banking now. Still trying hard not to spend, but not brave enough to do a totals update!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Morning Whitewing, morning everyone else who has arrived in the time it takes me to type this, morning all, hope everyone had a nice time celebrating their 100 days and let's hope the next 100 are a success.
DON'T FORGET FREE BINGO ON GALA
Just in case anyone is using this as one of their attempts at the interest beater challenge, I logged on and have managed to claim a few free tickets. Will try to remember to keep checking it.
I've a few orders to post out for work and from charity auctions, nothing that costs me money, and then I'm going to try to pop round to neighbours and move the hen run. Must check bank balances now as I'm still trying to juggle to get the ISA money moved and stooze some extra for my interest beater. With that in mind, I'm going to start working on website after I've had a cuppa and see if I can succeed in building a decent eBid shop. (It's free, so it doesn't matter that it's taken me 8 years to get around to it)
Signature updated, catch you all again soon.I reserve the right not to spend.

DON'T FORGET FREE BINGO ON GALA
Hi nyk, I tried last week but no free games appeared. I was on between 10pm and midnight, and most likely was doing something wrong, is there a thread/guide explaining the free bingo thing?
I can only try in the evening as I'm at work in the day... Cheers0 -
Morning everyone! Happy Day 101 (well, we can celebrate every day that we're saving money/moving closer to our goals can't we?
)
Having a great morning so far!
Talking of ISAs - I know that Martin says under no circumstances should you withdraw money from them but, here's the thing - the ISA we have is about to drop from 6.5 to 4.26; I can open the B**clays Tax Haven for 6.5; I'm unlikely to have much money to put in an ISA this year (need to spend some of the money in it to live!) - what's the best thing to do? Do I move £3600 across to the higher rate? The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Hi,
It is only available in certain rooms at certain times. You should find a link to the instructions on the home page. If not go to promotions and there definitely is a link. Good luck!

PS I'll let you know tomorrow if I have got anything today."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

I logged into the Gala bingo site and then 'play bingo' section. There's a tab on the left says 'advanced tickets'. You need to keep checking in there in the relevant bingo games and you can claim up to 12 tickets in any free game. I've managed to get 12 in all but 2 games so far, with 6 in one and zero in another. Doubtful of winning anything as there appears to be 3000+ players per game.
It tells you how many free games will be played in the 'promotions' link and appears to be the following for today:
4 per hour between 12 & 2pm
2 per hour between 2 & 6pm
4 per hour between 6 & 10pm
3 per hour between 10pm & midnight
The above are PER ROOM, not totals, so it could amount to a fair number of games. Very boring and you need to remember to keep checking to claim free tickets, but its running in the background here just now without a problem.I reserve the right not to spend.

I'm in the bingo rooms too, doh! Let's hope it's worth it! Do you keep the sound on? I don't know if I can bear it but if I don't I'll probably just forget to play! The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

I have the irritating woo woo woo and counting sound in the back ground to remind me to go and claim the free tickets :rotfl: 17 games gone, not a bean! But I guess if it's free and I'm here and it doesn't take any effort other than claiming the tickets then the law of averages must allow a win at some point, don't you think? I do get tempted to flick screens when I hear the words, 'we have a claim!' That's a bit annoying, too.I reserve the right not to spend.

Ha ha, you tend to get over the urge to check when you've not won so many hundreds of times :rotfl:I do want to believe in the law of averages...:D At least I can share the pain with my bingo buddy :T '4-0, 40' always makes me laugh! The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000
