Afternoon all,
I don't bet on the Grand National. I personally can't bring myself to bet on a horse race where horses die pretty much every year racing in it....I'm sorry if that upsets/ offends anyone, I don't mean to.
Well, I've spent £7 on parking at Birmingham Airport picking up my friend. It felt like it took all day. Probably because I hardly slept because DD2 had a sleep over that turned out to be just an 'over'...!
I really need to get back into Slimming World, as I've paid in advance it would be silly to waste the money just because I can't be bothered to be motivated. Hopefully once everyone is back at school on Monday I'll be able to sort myself out.
Well tonight is leftovers for tea. Left over pizza from the sleepover last night and left over sweetcorn chilli that I made. I may make some chips and salad to pad it out...0 -
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! one oh my, ahem 14 horses won!
i got a bit carried away last night and joined several cashback sites (my excuse being that i should get them all cleared out of the way at once in case i get too interested in gambling....)
have shifted my winnings into my account already, and the cashback is at at variuos stages of tracking... if it all comes in ok, total profit will be....
£101.82 :T
i will stick it in the university challenge as it becomes safe and banked

Hi,
And I almost didn't do it! I won 34.02 in Grand National plus the Quidco cashback, which has been tracked, so very very happy. I didn't watch it either as managed to put DD down for a nap and took the opportunity to have a soak in the bath. That £64.02 will feed my expading zoo for couple of months.

:j :j I won £8.16 on National :j :j Horse's name was Snowy Morning in anticipation of the expected blizzards that didn't happen
Plus I will get my £50 via Quidco
Not quite sure about if I did it right to get the free bet but my Betfair account says I have £24.16 credit
I have to validate my age because I used my Electron card to deposit the money to bet and I deposited £25. I think I got confused as it was a rush and whatever, I have still made a profit with the cashback.
I will withdraw it all as soon as my card is approved.
The National is the only thing I ever bet on and I would usually bet £2 each way on 3 horses. It would be 50p but DH refuses to go and put a bet on for me at that level :rotfl:
Have been for a jaunt to the nearest big Metropolis and spent a few pounds in Charity shops. Bought 2 blouses and a book. I usually just get books from the library but felt like a little treat.0 -
Well done everyone!0

Well done everyone! I'm still trying to work mine out because I joined 2 sites via cashback, both tracked.
Actual cash outlay = £20
Cashback total = £27.50 (£7.50 up right away)
Free bets still to use = £20
Current winnings available for withdrawing £21.11
I think that makes me £28.61 up with £20 still to play? I didn't watch the race, it was on and I had a few glances whilst listening to the commentary but hate seeing the horses fall. Roll on the flat season. Winnings will be saved to the house fundI reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.
