Hi Mumzy, hope you and DD are both feeling better now and that you all have a fantastic time in Cyprus. I'll try my best to keep this rowdy lot of frugalites in order until you return but guaranteed, there will be loads of catching up for you when you get back :)

I've been thinking a bit more about the the Interest Beater mini-challenge and THINK I may have hit on an idea, I'm just not sure I'd be allowed to discuss it on here without permission. It's concerning those of us who want to be come financially self-sufficient and earn some of our income online.

Would anyone be interested in becoming part of a virtual traders or sellers association if we are allowed to discuss it here? Just a thought.

I'm really pleased, actually managed to put money on all the first 6 horses but sadly only did it to win... still I'm £88.80 up from cashback with Coral and Betfair, and my winnings thanks to Comply or Die! I got my Dad to do it as well, was on the phone to him at 11.30pm last night trying to talk him through the betfair screen. Don't think he's quite as much in profit as me, but he'll have somewhere around £75 I think.

    Enjoy your holiday Mumzy!

Edit: Actually Dad's beaten me for profit, just over £100 for him - he'd managed to back the winner with Coral and Betfair! Grr. Not that we're competitive at all.... and I still have more in my ISA than he does ;-)

Now I come to think about it, I'll probably need therapy if I'm ever expected to live life without it being part of a challenge! Anyone studying psychology? :D

    Mortgage-free Glee!
As usual not much in the way of spending! I shopped twice in the past week and have spent a total of

14.46 ... hmmmm more than I thought but did get a few essentials that are not required all the time (marg, butter, coffee, flour etc) . It all mounts up ....

However I shall try to keep it to under a tenner for this week ( all dinners listed on calendar have been previously made and frozen, so just fruit, veg and milk). The following week I have guests, so no tight reign then!

Gosh you lot must be fed up with my 'same old, same old' every week!!
