Well, i've spent all of a pound today, grand national sweepstakes at work, might net myself a few quid, but I very much doubt it lol!
I was gonna have a pop at the free bet in Martins email today, but made the mistake of signing up with an electron card, called customer support and they were supposed to get back to me in fifteen minutes. That was three hours ago lol!
Maybe it's for the best, I'd probably mess it up and end up out of pocket!! Still, the quidco money would have been nice0 -
Okay, I'm getting rather overexcited now!! You can sign up to Betfair through the big Q for £50 cashback and get the free £25 bet as in Martin's email! If you know what you're doing, you can bet against your partner on Betfair and make £100 and you might still win on the race!!! How cool is that! Must get my head around it all so I can be quids in!The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

bails just spotted the Quidco cashback deal so have decided to take a chance and have registered. Hope I have done it right but even if I've made a mistake, I should still get my £50 back so have still made £25. Just hope my creditors don't find out. If they do, I'll have to plead ignorance and say I didn't actually spend anything!0

Good for you Janey, hope you make some money! I've gone through Q and deposited my £25 (which I'll get back) and am now wondering whether I need to wait to place my bet - did someone say it only counts if your horse runs on the day?The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Thanx for the warningcheerio hen0 -
Bails, you lost me on the Betfair bit already. I opened account via oilyhand, got the free bets, got the cashback sorted out, got more free bets emailed today but don't know what to do. Hmm... not much time left to figure it out but I prefer the flat racing, so will try to learn in time for the Derby
Slowly, I wish I had been able to fill my current ISA and save enough to fill the next one. The 3.6k is stoozed cash transferred to current account after spending a couple of months in a high interest account. It's heading straight for the 2008/9 ISA as soon as I know which one to open! Part of my challenge is to pay the CC (CCs?) off without touching the stoozed funds or savings. I have been studying the MSE threads and am hoping to graduate from CCCT (common credit card tart) to !!!!!! (fully fledged stoozer) soon.:D Along the way, people keep giving me extra savings by way of cashback and points that convert to pounds.
Hope everyone has a good weekend, good luck with the National bets. I'm hoping for a day out on Sunday to Mr T-land and will stop off at the lochside to feed the swansAccording to the forecast, the swans should be the moving parts within the driving snow.:rotfl:
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

The swans should be the moving parts within the driving snow......nyk how poetic is that!!!!
Surely one of us on this thread could come up with something and complete the quote and earn some money....or am I missing something and this line is as famous as the one that has you wandering over a hill and seeing all those bleedin daffodils (that look great in your garden in March and then take ages to tie down!!!!!)
If so please excuse my ignorance!!!!cheerio hen0 -
Meh, I tried again and it all seems to have gone through ok now... So, £25 paid in, spread over a few geegee's (if the 400-1 comes in I'll be rich lol!) expect them all to fall at the first hurdle BUT hopefully my £25 stake will be refunded soon and I'll have £50 added to quidco.
I really wouldn't be surprised if this went horribly wrong and I end up £25 out of pocket though... Wait and see! I've learnt one thing though; gambling's not for me, I'm fretting over a 'free' bet for pete's sake!
Good luck everyone0
