    HI,

Guess who left washing out last night?

Not a good day here either. Due to the weather we are trapped indoors and entertaining DD is getting to be hard work. I have made some headway with w/up while DD has been harrasing the Dog and then we have been doing puzzles. I could probably make the puzzle of Poppy and Pip in my dreams now.

Still haven't done that big shop that I have been meaning to do for such a long time. I shall see how long what I have will last as that gives me time to get the shopping list at least started. I might be able to stretch what I have (if I go and buy a jar of pasta sauce) till Thursday.

Ok - DD is now pulling rat food from the bag and pushing it through the bars of the cage so better get her downstairs asap. I had to buy padlocks for the rats cage as she started to go and pat them when I was in the shower and I really don't want them to escape and make themselves comfortable behind my book boxes as then I would never be able to get them back into their cage.

Begging for better weather for the coming week as I will be ready for some kind of institution if I can't get out!!!

Hope rest of you are doing better.

    Marru

Sorry there have been a few having bad days but perhaps I can cheer you all up with my latest set of photographs. Lucky for us the winds have kept the rain away, so it's blustery but warm and sunny here. I stripped the beds, bunged on washing and then headed off for the animal park in search of the new arrival and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh........... I want a baby miniature donkey!!!

I've added a link to the above photograph so you can click through to see a couple more in my new 'Frugal Photo Album'. :D If I could work out how to get videos onto YouTube then you'd be able to see little miss galloping full tilt and leaping about around the only hill in her paddock! Anyone who can explain in techie-dummy speak, please let me know. I've already registered an account.

MrDT, I suspect you have been reading back through some of my old posts now that I see mention of the bunker. Or are you REALLY that farmer who lives nearby?? :rotfl: That reminds me, I should try and find the link again to see if the bunker got sold and if so, for how much! I wonder how much they got for the tanker, too!

Bails, hope you get the figures to balance up - like me, you must be considering even a semblance of self-sufficiency could be useful.

Hugs to those having bad days (I'll include myself in the group hug if you don't mind) :grouphug: I've got my figures bearable but OH is doing my absolute head in with his 'everything'll be alright, I don't need to think about these things or plan ahead' attitude  I had more than enough worrying about someone else's finances with my debt-ridden fiance and I haven't got the energy for it now - I'm trying to just concentrate on my own but his do have a big impact on my life too; anyone want an OH, great at DIY and massages? ;)
Just looked into WTC though and we will be eligible from Sept (when OH turns 25) so that's something positive (maybe I'll not tell him and keep it all for myself...I am, of course, joking :D).

Hope the littl'uns are worn out and giving their mums some peace now. Roll on the better weather!
And on a much brighter note, HOW CUTE IS THAT DONKEY? :smileyhea

    Hi,

Got mine to have a nap so instead of working/finihing w/up I went and had a looooong bath. I will pay for this later as now I won't be able to get her to go to bed for ages.

Sorry Bails, wont swap either as he would be a too much of a toy boy for me. The skills would be handy thou...

LOOOOVE the baby donkey. I really want one (or two)...roll on my smallholding...

Need to take my car for a run tomorrow rain or shine as the back of the car is making noices again. It can't be the exhaust as I just got it fixed but can't figure out what it could be (yes - I have checked that the spare wheel is attached properly). If it still makes the noice tomorrow then I have to go to the garage first thing on Tuesday morning and beg them to get it sorted as I am supposed to drive to London on Wednesday and no way I am going to drive the long trip on a motorway if that noice is still there. Fingers crossed that it won't be anyting major (=expensive).

Will go and enjoy for futher few quiet moments more. Might be lucky enough to have a cup of tea without being bounced on. I do love her really, I know it might look like I don't with all my complaining but I do find it to be very hard work every now and again.

    Take care everybody,

    Marru

Awwwwwwww, that donkey baby is just sooooo cute. Can I have one please? OK, I'll be next in the queue :D

Nothing to report - apart from a really miserable day. I invited, rather too casually it seems, some of my neighbours for a cup of tea today. It rained, we had tidied up, I had made Twinks .............. and no-one, apart from my ex, came.... :(

Feeling sorry for self. Hey ho, at least the house is a bit tidier and I have a full biscuit barrel.

On a frugal note, if you use two teaspoons to "quenelle" the dough of the Twinks, it is possible to bake 90 [yes, NINETY] petit fours type biscuits from one batch! How frugal is that?!
If you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!! :D
