 Janey! I did wonder if you'd like a FREE cup of tea on your frugal way, but hesitated to offer as I couldn't remember where you were off to! Not a lot of use if you're off to Dorset *grin*
Hope you have a lovely time. Almost everyone seems to have had a good day. My day was another NSD - my "living out of the freezer" worked today, wish me luck for tomorrow. I've dropped milk off the shopping list for this week, found some dried. Now all I need is to find out how much powder per pint - it was in the inner packet, tucked into a Tupperware. How sensible was I? How silly, more like, as I can't remember for the life of me the proportions! *shakes head*
Hoping for a good evening for all my frugal friends,
DGIf you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!!0 -
Hi DG, if it's any help, my dried milk powder usually runs in around 50g-60g per pint depending on brand. In saying that, that's for non-branded store's own. I usually go 50g/pint and mix mine in an empty milk carton and keep it in the fridge. Psychological aid to converting others to powder.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Thanks, Nyk. I'll go and have a go, and yes, got the milk carton ready already - LOLIf you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!!0

Once you make twink's hobnobs they become compulsory cooking:D . I am holding twink personally responsible for some of my roly polyness:rotfl:
Red lentils are good for bulking out stuff too, but don't put the green ones in as they can still be seen when cooked.0 -
Glad everyone has enjoyed their bank holiday. Nyk the day at the animal park sounds great fun. Think you got the best of the weather though. It has been warm and dry here but not exactly sunny, barbeque went well though and only came indoors half hour ago. Good food and a few glasses of wine but I was delegated the cooking as usual.;)0

Hope everyone had a nice bank holiday weekend
Mine was pretty cheap, especially compared to the usual! I spent a whopping £2.80 on beer, just one pint in the sun saturday afternoon
I've also been karting... for FREE! Bought a reduced kit kat easter egg (£2.50) a while back that included a voucher for £15 worth of kartingOther than that, I've fixed all the niggly bits on the car and cleaned it inside and out ready for sale, and been cycling in the wonderful sun today.
A bank holiday weekend for £2.80, doubt I've managed that before!
Other stuff I've paid out - Found an amazing deal for travel insurance, £7.75 for 9 days in europe - and 15% cashback on quidco, so paid that out ready for the summer, and stuck another £20 in the leccy meter.

Great days had by all it seems. I had a good one here too, although the weather was more muggy than hot; no chance of lobstering, but I did leave the house without my down jacket for the first time this year :rotfl:Had a lovely early evening walk and then a yummy meal with OH; happy days.
The only downside is that I keep getting this strange sense of dread and can't quite work out why...til I remember it's bingo on Thursday :rotfl:
Janey, where are you going again, I've forgotten? And where are you DraigGoch? There's always a cuppa and a Twinks here if you're passing. The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

We've had such a lovely day...and OH and I went out for a walk this evening; just the two of us. It was beautiful, with warm air and glorious views.
DS has been a real sweetheart and so happy. MIL enjoyed her day at work.
We just put everything on hold and enjoyed the moment for a change. Feel so much better. And to top it all off, we had a no spend day.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them.
