Have just been informed that it's actually £50  which is very, very annoying. I can't do anything about it so I should just move on but I keep thinking about all the other great things I could do with £50 and kicking myself for not checking the room properly before I left it!!
Sigh.
Am seeing some old friends tonight so I'm hoping that that will cheer me upI hope you all have plans for a nice Friday night xxx

Sorry about the £50, I hope you still manage to have a good night out with your friends; it's always fun catching up.
I keep getting the giggles!!
Apologies to anyone who hasn't got a clue what I'm talking about as it all stems from a game of 'who can make the biggest word from the word BINGO?' mixed up with a collection of random 'cut and shut' words, such as 'POG' for pig and dog. (Welcome to our wacky world, pirategirl, sorry about the red nose.) Anyway, my favourite word of the game was IGBOO - an igloo for eskimo ghosts. This is a bit of a frugal ramble, but stick with it... I got a major attack of the giggles because I thought 'someone' (not mentioning any names) had meant IGBOO to be an anagram of BINGO.... and there I go again... fetch the tissues! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: If anyone honestly thinks I would be able to cope with alcohol on a Thursday night, there is absolutely noooooooooo waaaaaaaaaaaaay I'd handle it.
Has anyone else mentioned the fact that someone actually asked if we got sent to a special room because of our behaviour? :TI reserve the right not to spend.

Hi Mumzy, glad to see you got your new signature but a bit disappointed to see the mention of the cigs in your post.
Never mind, there's always room for another challenge. :cool:All's well here, other than houseshare thinking I am completely barking mad! (Pardon the pun, Jumble_Bee :rotfl: ).
Hope Bails manages to get something exciting during her charity shop. I've just heard that there is supposed to be a car boot fair somewhere near us this weekend and I can also hear the clang from the market square where the stalls are being built for the market tomorrow. I may be tempted to spend but can't decide which budget to use! :rotfl:I reserve the right not to spend.

Afternoon all!
Well done Molly on writing so soon and telling the receptionist; I'm so glad you get to see someone else.
Talking of 'selling', I went to the temporary charity shop and bought quite a lotI can't work out whether this is ethically questionable or simply good for both the charity and me (hopefully). Anyway, while I consider my moral dilemma, I did get some bargains :T including some of this coming season's clothes for £2 each (Jigsaw, Principles, Fat Face or White Stuff, not sure - who puts that little velvet strip on the inside of their waistbands?). I spent £18.90 and got 3 pairs jeans, 3 pairs trousers and a suit jacket all to sell on, a pair of cords for myself which I'm going to customise with new buttons (just tried them on and they fit, woo hoo, size 14 - put a lot of weight on since illness), a bag for OH which is currently pink :rotfl:that I'm going to dye, a cool big glass milk bottle with cows on it from France (a treat to make me smile for 50p, for the watered-down milk
) and loads of cards in a cool purple box I can reuse :j
Imagine how excited I'd be if I could go to jumble sales like JB :rotfl:
I've also caught another cat, the little torotiseshell, and she is now safely up at the home because she's pregnant too  Only 2 more cats to go I think, although I've lost count now!
That is a b**mer about the keys Andromache, I have to get another set cut for the same reason so I sympathise entirely!
Hi Mumzy, glad to see you had a great hol and are now back for the rest of the challenge.
Nyk, don't get me started with the igboo and 'special room' :rotfl:Molly, we thought you'd come to join us as well but it was another Molly from MSE too!The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Uuumm, cough, cough...
... I said out loud to two different people just weeks ago that I WILL NOT TAKE A NEW DOG until my course is finished - that is in two years. Own or foster. I just sent an email to one of the dog rescues and offered to give a home to one of their dogs. So more bingo winnings required if I am going to feed another mouth. Luckily I have £33.- free bingo offers in my inbox waiting to be used so now you know how I am going to spend the weekend.
Sophiesmum - you really made my stomach rumble early in the morning. I am still drooling for the thought of that apple crumble.... (groans)
Edited: Bails - sooo jealous about that milk bottle - well done!
Enjoy your Friday - here finally lovely and sunny!
Marru
PS back later if I have managed to reconcile my cash...uh"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Ha ha, Marru you're so funny! I was the same with the tortoiseshell - if I didn't live with OH I would definitely be keeping her and the black and white female, if not all of them :rotfl:OH thinks we're getting rid of all the kittens too; he SO doesn't know me well enough :rotfl:
Will the rescue not provide the food? The Home gave me loads more food for the pregnant tabby today, could take as much as I wanted as they had a massive appeal recently and are now overwhelmed with food.
Off to look for jumblesales/carboots over the weekend...:jThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Marru! You didn't! Another dog? :rotfl:
I'm jealous of the cow design milk bottle too! It sounds lovely! All this talk of markets and charity shops and jumble sales, as well, it just makes me soooooo want to go and do something this weekend. I know someone who is going to be having a stall at the market tomorrow and I have come up with a cunning plan! They'll be selling garden planters on their stall and I have about half a dozen houseplant cuttings, all well rooted and potted up... are you following my drift? Methinks I may just squeeze them on the end of their table with a £1 sticker on them and see if I can earn instead of spend this coming weekend! :rotfl:I reserve the right not to spend.

Hmm, can I ask a question please? I had a letter redirected to me from several addresses ago which says I owe A&L £353.80  before admin or overdraft fees  I did open an account with them once with the 10% savings account but never used it so how is this possible? Shall I ignore it ie will it go away as they don't have my current details or do I need to contact them? If this isn't the right place to ask, could someone suggest where I do - obviously this is a little worrying, especially if I have to pay it!! Thanks peeps.
Bails, I'd hate this kind of thing, it would make me worry.
I think you should contact them before whoever is running up the debt in your name makes it any worse - that way you can say that you did your bit to stop it as soon as you were made aware.
It sounds as if A&L have sent a card or something to your old address (where ever you were when you opened the account) and whoever is now living there used it. I would hope that you can't be liable for the debt as they should surely have some security measures in place to prevent fraud.
Someone else may know a better forum/thread on mse where you can ask your question.
Good luck
