Or you're tired of dirt, crowds, filthy public transport, crowded underground trains, congestion
No luck with the offer either, the hotel must make a bomb from all these extra £29 and more bookings, rooms which would normally be empty.0 -
Treat for my 11 year old - any ideas for an affordable show to go with it?
Thanks to OP for alterting me - my third attempt finally worked.
My son wants to:
Go to the Zoo
Travel on the River to see Greenwich and the observatory AND the Barrage
Do the Antatctic exhibit at the Natural History Museum
See the Bog Man in the British Museum
AND go to a show iin the night
All in one day!!!!!
I think one main trip + the show will still leave us all tired. And my wallet empty.Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Thank you.0 -
I got a £1 room for a Saturday in July! It is possible!
The html page is much better than the flash page I tried to use last time. Thanks to whoever posted that link in the forum.

I was up there in March for my sons 11th Birthday and well we tried to do too much and failed the Natural History Museum is great and well worth a visit and its free, we also called in a Hamleys and had lunch which was great the Science Museum was a let down and well we saw two shows Buddy which was great and Wicked last time we were in London we saw Blood Brothers which was also brilliant I have to say 1st Blood Brothers, 2nd Buddy and 3rd Wicked for an 11yr old boy who fell asleep 1/2hr before the end of Wicked cos he was so tired if you need any more info just ask0 -
I tried to book for 1st july, put in my bank details and clicked submit, the screen just went blank, so I tried again for 2nd of july again the screen just went blank for a very long time time, so I just gave up. i have just checked my emails and I have 2 different confirmations e mails for both dates, I would really love to go and take advatage of this but will it be allowed,my husband and I rarely get treats like this and would hate to turn up and for them to say, I'm sorry you can't stay here cos you booked 2 nights, it really was a genuine mistake. what should I do.0

On page 9 McAllister posted that he took his 11 yr old to see 39 Steps. Says a good show at a good price.
The Museum of London is by Moorgate underground station and is within walking distance of the Hoxton. See Hoxton location map.0 -

Hi James,
Without a shadow of a doubt, it has to be the Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre. Might at first sound too juvenile but believe me, it is amazing, the costumes are unreal and the music...
My boyfriend brought me to it so I'm not sure how much it costs but presumably quite reasonable, both he and I loved it, and we are in mid-to-late twenties
