I've booked a date in error!
Thanks in advance

Well, I was booking two nights(1£1 and 1 £29) this time but for my Aunt, so I phoned them earlier in the week and was told that there was no problem with booking in my name/with my card even though I wasn't going to be there. I may just give her my credit card just in case tho. You could try and phone them to find out but I would leave it for a while, they're prob run off their wee feet at the mo!
When I've been before they did ask for a credit card when you book in to cover expenses but I seem to remember that you can refuse and say you want to settle it in cash when you check out. This way they wouldn't know it wasn't you who was booking in, altho I suppose you may be held liable if the people you transfered it to did a runner, as they would only have your address!
I think the non transferable thing is the actual date, I suppose that way it stops people from going for a less popular date ie midweek initially and then trying to change it to a more popular date eg a Sat night.
edit - I have just phoned them and they changed the name on the booking no problem - had a bit of a panic when I looked on the confirmation emails and they said that the person who booked must be the same person who is staying. (Maybe it states that as they're trying to stop people buying all the rooms up and sticking them on ebay?)0 -
If anyone has any friday or saturday dates free, that they overbooked or cant do i would be happy to buy them off you at over what you paid for them!
Any weekend dates i can do!! thanks in advance0 -
No luck for me despite the useful tips - thanks to those who posted them. I got shaking hands in the excitement and that slowed me down - and once again I forgot to tick the 'Terms and Conditions' and lost the room I was booking - arghhh!
I have had a £1 and 2 x £29 rooms in the past so it is just down to luck (and steady hands and a clear head!) in the end. Well done to those who booked rooms and have a great time!
I will content myself with my upcoming weekend in a posh De Vere hotel with full English breakfast and a whole raft of hotel facilities for £78 (regular price £210 for 2 people for the weekend). And of course meals out at £10 courtesy of the Times vouchers. Thanks to MSE for leading me to those deals! I may not be actually SAVING money but I am having a great life not spending too much!
have a lovely stay.....
ps does anyone know why i dont get a thanks at the bootom of my threads...am i being punished???????0 -

First time I've tried anything like this and managed to get a £1 room for Sunday 8th June. Then did another booking to get a £29 room for Monday 9th June and we'll see a show or two.I have no idea where the hotel is or what it's like!
£15 a night for a hotel in London, and did I read correctly that it includes breakfast, too? In which case - fab!0 -
There you go heavenlygee - have a free thanks on me!0

Been trying to get into the booking page since 1200 bang on but never managed to. The sever was apparently completely jammed.
Congratulations to everyone who grabbed a bargain.0 -
