evening (well morning really)
Am just poppng on to say I probably won't be here tomorrow and then from Monday we are off on hols for a week :j to Centreparcs in Holland.
Its our first proper holiday since before DD1 was born 3 and a half years ago! (Going to my Mum and Dad's doesnt count as that is always a tour of the rellies). We've spent today getting stuff ready - all had haircuts, kids got new shoes as their wee toes were getting squished. I've washed, dried and ironed for England (whilst watching this week's Apprentice, I did nearly as muich as them it felt like). Spare room bed is piled high with stuff to pack tomorrow.
The kids are so excited, its brilliant. We have to supply our own bedlinen so we thought we'd just take our old sleeping bags for the kids, they are having a trial run with them tonight and are loving it. Never mind the fact the sleeping bags are about 3 times too long :rotfl: Tomorrow they are allowed to pack a rucksack of toys each - I am thinking Power Rangers, Little People, farm animals, colouring stuff, sticker books, snap cards, Jenga - can play the game and the blocks can be used to build houses, farmyards, racetracks, sandwiches LOL and so on - they have great imaginations! We also have new in car DVD that M&D got them for Xmas, we only just got them last week. DH has spent all week  encoding a load of their DVD's onto one DVD IYSWIM. So they have Cars, Monsters Inc, Toys, Shrek1&2 and Flushed Away.
Tomorrow I have to take them to a soft play birthday party in the morning and then spend the afternoon packing the car up. God knows where it will all fit. Oh and I have to cook a load of stuff to use up some veggies that are kicking around the fridge so I can freeze some HM stuff. Dh goes away for a week 3 days after we get back so it'll be handy to have some food in thats quick to cook anyway. Spent today cooking up loads of veg for LO.Dont know quite why I had such a surplus, but there you go. Downside ofa big fridge I suppose.
I tried to fix my TD today and failed. Couldn't get the back off grrrr so all our holiday clothes that I washed today are draped everywhere. Hope its dry tomorrow so I can get them out on the line today. I wanted to try and defrost and swicth off my garage freezer tomorroe but with all the batch cooking I think I will need to leave it on and wont have time to defrost it, Oh well.
I might try and do a bit of catch up on this week's thread if I get to stop at any point!
Night night *looks at time, shrieks, but at least I have a mini lie in tomorrow*
Jill
So tomorrow's plan -
- hang washing out if its dry
- wrap pressie for party and write card
- send cards for 2 new babies and a couple of birthdays
- hang semi dry stuff out if its dry
- do Asda/car check list for Dh to do while I am out
- take older 2 to birthday party
- batch cook Thai green curry and something else - soup?
- do dental claim and credit card payment
- try and do one or two bits of DS Maths homework with him
- pack bags
- pack as much of car as possible
- sort fridge chuck anything that will go off
- get picnic ready for trip
- general tody everywhere so its clean to come back to
- drop note into neighbours so they know we're away

DD threw a wobbler once everyone had gone about 6pm  I sent her to bed before I lost it and she carried on. Problem is she's now using missing Ex as an excuse for everything so I phoned him once he'd gotten home, explained everything that had/was going on and he's phoning tomorrow morning to speak to her. My concern is that she's saying I'm ignoring her and I hate her as I've been busy (the fact I spent 3 days decorating her room for her doesn't come into it! Oh and that doesn't count the two shopping trips to look for stuff for her room!) so it needs to be dealt with now before I start my degree/teaching course in about 2 weeks and have less "free" time  :mad:
Nicki
My DD is exactly the same - she wants attention all the time - throws a wobbler if you ask her to do something more than once - even if she hasn't done it - says nobody loves her because she can't get her own way, etc, etc..
I think it's just the age and the fact that they're both clever. Don't let her put you on a guilt trip - she'll play up to it even more. I know she's missing her dad but to be honest she'd probably have been the same if he was there!

Morning All
We have snow here!
Not sure what's happening here today - I've arranged to pick up something from Freecycle between 10.30 and 11 and DH has told the kids we'll go swimming. Hoping to go visit my grandparents while I'm over in Biddulph collecting the Freecycle thing so we'll see.
Just going to put the chicken in for dinner so that'll be cooked before we go anywhere.
Hope everyone has a good day

Right, that's the child in me dealt with.
Good morning ladies
JillD - thanks for your thoughts on the ebay thing - I shall see how it pans out. Do have a lovely holiday - you certainly need one!
lil-me - enjoy your laughter - revenge, after all, is a dish best served well chilled. It IS nice sometimes to know that what goes around comes around isn't it?
Right, I think I shall go and bathe and then watch the snowflakes. I'm just glad I did do Mr T's yesterday so I don't have to go anywhere today.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I sense that Pigpen may have been down the pub last night lol
Morning Soapie, whereabouts are you?
No snow here in South Wales, OH got up a couple of times in the night to check!!! I am kind of hoping we don't get any because the schools grind to a halt here when it snows and I was kinda looking forward to them going back tomorrow.
Quick visit to Aldi this morning to look for a radio for the kitchen. Someone mentioned something about an undercupboard one which looked good only the deals don't start until today. Got a roast dinner to cook. Pick up middle daughter from sleepover at 12 and then off to see the diet lady at 3pm.
Going for a cuppa and brekkie now, have a fab day allMay Grocery Challenge £254.16/£3200 -
Morning
Soappie I looked at the state of your car and prayed it didn't snow here, 5 minutes later...............snow! Nooooooooo! and I want to go out to play at the shops too..*wail wai wail*
Lil_me :T :j for your DS kicking the ball and a 'GET in' :T  for your neighbours heh heh.
Drunk pigpen :rotfl: :rotfl: took off your Boots yet
Sharon think it was me that mentioned the underbench radio in Aldi, I'm off there today to bag one, only question is which colour do I go for, I can't decide.
The only thing I can think of to do house-wise today is empty the DW and reload it, and a quick wipe of the benches to freshen upcool!
Off to Aldi, down town for Superdrug, then a biggie.......Pallion retail park for Dunelm Mill who must have known I wanted a Brabantia Bin (but was too tight to pay full price) so have decided to put them on offer just for me obviously, yay! Been looking at the map and I'm sure I'll find it eventually LOL
So, plan for today
empty DW
reload DW
wipe benches down
make beds
shopping trip :j can't wait to go to Dunelm Mill I've never been before and I'm sure I'll be like a kid in a sweet shop. Ooooooh and I've just remembered the pile of clean washing on my bedroom floor that also needs sorting into piles then putting away so I'll go and do that first
