I thought Cyprus was horrible, much prefered the Algarve. Beautiful and friendlier people.

I think the Cypriots are really nice. I would have said it was one of the friendliest places in the med.
But I do find eastern med places much friendlier than western med places.

In all fairness I think the Brits have been using the western med a little longer than the eastern & I think some of the eastern countries (I'm thinking Spain) have probably had a belly full of some of the behavior from "some" Brits abroad.

    Cheers Daisy and MrsE.

I'm losing the will to live.... the first option of yours Daisy, looked promising - but its already booked! Same happened with that first villa MrsE sent - perfect - but booked.

    They're a fussy lot my lot......

I've been a bit tied up with the mobile phone scam thing that I've not had much time to look around any more re hols.

ok so we have stayed here

which was very nice - its a large villa spilt into 3 smaller apartments with a shared pool between the 3 but there is also just a double bedroom to rent as well so you could take an apartment with 2 rooms and the seperate bedroom to accomodate all - it is very secluded - when we were there there was an older couple and another family but the family were never there and the couple were nice enough to exchange pleasantries with

however it is out of the town a bit - a 5 min taxi ride but that said its a 5 min walk to a big apartment complex - where we have also stayed here - where there are ppl to meet and a bar and lovely restaurant

there are loads of apartments for rent of various sizes on that complex by english owners this is our friends and its lovely here

this area is great for us as you have the old town for lovely restaurants and walks - the new town for nightclubs and tat shops and the complex just to chill out in all within a few mins

hope this has helped some - :)

jeannie forgot to say - there is a corner shop type thing on the apartment complex which sells milk bread papers etc and a lidls a 5 min taxi ride away to stock up on essentials

It looks lovely - but they want to be away from other people most of the days - private villa and private pool...

I'd like the same - but not cut off... nightmare

Looks gorgeous - but the neighbours thing again!!

The first one you sent me last night, was great - had neighbours but good distance and lots of foliage etc for complete privacy!

We've had the neighbours from hell the past year here - they are away for a few days - and the peace is wonderful. This could be a factor of being a bit away from the neighbours for our holiday - more than a fence is required!!!:rotfl:

I'm crawling into bed now - gotta get up early in the morning to get to a bakers for hot sausage rolls for the gannets at work - my birthday and they'd rather have those than me take cakes in! Blooming cheek!

Thanks for all the help Daisy & MrsE - please feel free to carry on.... ;):D

    The woman's got a right cheek..:o I know.. ;):D

Gumusluk is very quite & peaceful, its a small little village with famous fish restaurants.
