  • I thought Cyprus was horrible, much prefered the Algarve. Beautiful and friendlier people.

Gosh they're a picky lot my lot.

Been looking at villa's in cyprus and they are lovely - but they don't like the fact that there are neighbours so close! It suits me as everything looks 'walkable'. I'm more worried that don't have a shop or couple of restaurants nearby. Beach would be nice nearby but not as essential... I am very tired and long for a holiday - but I don't want it to be hard work - like have to go miles for a pint of milk and a paper or out for an evening meal. Well venture further afield occasionally but if you can't be ar5ed, there's a restaurant up the road!

Daisy - where in the Algarve? Were your villa's vaguely secluded?!!:D

ok so we have stayed here

which was very nice - its a large villa spilt into 3 smaller apartments with a shared pool between the 3 but there is also just a double bedroom to rent as well so you could take an apartment with 2 rooms and the seperate bedroom to accomodate all - it is very secluded - when we were there there was an older couple and another family but the family were never there and the couple were nice enough to exchange pleasantries with

however it is out of the town a bit - a 5 min taxi ride but that said its a 5 min walk to a big apartment complex - where we have also stayed here - where there are ppl to meet and a bar and lovely restaurant

there are loads of apartments for rent of various sizes on that complex by english owners this is our friends and its lovely here

this area is great for us as you have the old town for lovely restaurants and walks - the new town for nightclubs and tat shops and the complex just to chill out in all within a few mins

hope this has helped some - :)
