my mate answered the question for me!! She made up some gloop at the weekend after I told her about it and put it in the dishwasher and said her dishes came up sparkling. She said she usually has to put some stuff back in with dishwasher tabs but with gloop she didnt!!!
I am still a bit nervous about the idea of using soap to clean dishes though!! What does everyone else think?
I can't see there being a problem especaillay if you use vinegar as rinse aid as there would be no residue left after the final rinseMy self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).

Thanks to MSE, we've been using the Mr S cream bath for about two years now, in squeezy bottles and pump dispensers in the bath and shower and in foam dispensers at the sinks - it goes even further (and means that when my young children empty it all, they are really only wasting a very little soap). My mother-in-law always comments on our lovely coconut shower gell.
Does anyone know the best way to get white taekwondo suits back to white, my childrens are getting grubby. I normally wash them at 40, although I did try a 60 wash once, but it didn't seem to make much difference. (They also have small coloured logos/badges on them)?Mortgage [strike]£70,000[/strike] £1:j

So far I have used it in the dishwasher (merely by chance as i was washing the pot i had made it in) and the washing machine.
The best bit is my skin hasn't itched once which was a real problem with washing powder- even fairy!Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790 -

Ellie - I figure you put a small amount of the the gloop in its "blancmange" semi-solid state into the little container on the dishwasher door, close it, and rely on the hot water in the dishwasher to dissolve it gradually over the 'washing' part of the cycle.0

i have just tried it in the dishwasher. I just put a big blob of gloop in the bit that the tab goes into and shut it. it had all disolved when finished. it brought everything up as clean as the tabs would have so now i dont need to buy anymore tabs even if they are on offer!!!!!!!!!! :T0 -
I ran out of dishwasher tabs weeks ago and have been using a squirt of cheap washing up liquid and the results are better than the tabs, but I do run the machine with soda crystals every couple of weeks. Am going to make gloop asap as Mum just gave me a load of soap, looking forward to saving all that money on washing powder - and carrying the flipping stuff!Clearing the junk to travel light

This tip is going back to when I was a little [STRIKE]vamp[/STRIKE] girl...
Dissolve a pack of jelly with half the water needed, then when cooled down add in some evaporated milk to make it up to the full amount (normally 1 pint). Whisk until nice and frothy and pour into small tubs with lids. Makes on average six portions, depending on the size of the pots. They make a nice change in school lunch boxes, and the ones I made only cost 10p each = 9p Mr S economy strawberry jelly and 50p Mr S evaporated milk. Can also be made with jelly and rice pudding which would work out even cheaper if you get the basics rice pud.Mortgage: Was: £154,495 Oct 2039 Now: £82,340.34 May 2037Swagbucks ~ £155 (2024 ~ £395)Surveys ~ £149.19 (2024 ~ £280.14)Make £2025 in 2025 #5 ~ £964.62 ~ (2024 ~ £2,561.04)0
