who is getting married this august , what date

Just seen that everyone else has been venting a few annoyances so thought I would join in! Just had a letter from family friends who have RSVP as basically maybes!! I sent out save the date cards to people who were further away last year as we are getting married in the new forest which is obviously popular during the summer for holiday goers so wanted our guests to have a heads up! And they haven't got any accommodation or travel sorted!! And are basically asking me what I suggest! Well I suggest you booked a year ago and am a bit busy now to help you out! As they are family friends I have asked my mum to sort it out but think she was annoyed that I was asking her to but partly its her fault as I nagged her for weeks to give them their invitation and if she wasn't going to see them to post the invite instead but she waited and until she saw them so they got it at least three weeks later than everyone else! Three weeks ago I might have been able to help but now I'm rather busy with everything else! Plus another family friend on my mums side still hasn't replied and it is in 18 DAYS and we have to give final numbers in on Friday!

Its not that I don't want these people to come but I'm not really prepared to go running after them! If I don't have definate answers I am not going to waste money on maybes! GRRRR - Hope my mum gets some answers!!

Welcome to my world except it's my mother that keeps changing things!

I have rung the hotel just now to change the rooms and I'm now doing my final version of the table plan and that's it anyone who hasn't replied now will go hungry. Just need to know the names of the other halves of OH's mates otherwise they will be on there as Ms Ann Other :rotfl:

OH was muttering about our first dance at the weekend as it was also his m8's song who should have got married last weekend but called it off and he's concerned it will upset him - is this my problem? Nope. How can he even mention changing our song

Was going to the dressmakers to see about having BM dress shortened this afternoon but most of the town is shut off as someone has been run over will have to wait until tomorrow now.

No wonder my jeans are falling off. :rotfl:

A miracle has just occurred!!!!!

OH has rung with the names of his m8s g/f and to confirm the last 2 maybes are yeses - so glad I was sitting down at the time.

have had a quote from the flower market as well - just over £100 for everything my friend was panicking as she thought it was too much but apparently its the most expensive time of the year for white roses! Typical :rotfl:

Everything nearly ready - just need to get the middle tier of the cake then everything's done. I can't believe that the day's almost here after all the planning - can't wait!

Blimey will it be August by then - am kidding myself that 3 weeks is ages - daren't convert it into days - lol.

I'm sat here finishing off now - just have a couple of things left to do and a suitcase to pack for the honeymoon :j

All this RSVP stuff is very stressful.

I had to phone my future M-I-L for the first time last week. Not only did she not know who i was (that was a hilarious 2 minutes), it came to light there were several other people from her side of the family that she wants invited.

I had asked and ASKED about this, and all the other invites have gone out. Now i have to add 4 people, to an already bulging list (originally 80, now 96!). I had bumped some people up to day, but had I know this I wouldn't have, but I can't subtract them now.

I had hoped that a few family members would say no, but they have all said yes.

Still, at least my dress is finished, and my DJ and photographer/videographer have confirmed so that's something.

I've had several people change their mind in the last week and some who were coming are now not - including my step dad (who I knew wouldn't come in the first place as it's not round the corner)!

I've already had the 90% invoice from the hotel but technically as its still over 2 weeks before the wedding I should be ok to get it brought down. Fortunately our total is still just over the original invoice so will just mean that the 10% is only about £60.

I'd agree the RSVPs are definitely the worse bit :eek:

ah this doesn't sound promising, we sent the invites today - I thought we would just get some straight answers - seems maybe not. Fingers crossed for the next week or so! Mother has started hassling me about gift ideas (and the 'money as a gift' thread has shown volatile that issue is) so i'm a bit stumped.
On the other hand - now have veil, hair appointment, menus, table decorations (ordered), cake (ordered) on my recent trip to the town we have chosen (3 hrs away!) So now its just (!) flowers, favours and bolero/shrug in deep purple for me, groom's shoes, bridesmaid shoes, seating plan, stag/hen events!

ask for vouchers for debenhams or john lewis or thomsons if you want to put it on a honeymoon that way you dont know who has spent what if they just put it in a envelope without a card

hey ladies!!

so one month exactly left for me!!! am collecting my dress this thursday!!!!!!!!! EEEKKKKKK :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

and now i have a cough, but i am looking on the bright side, i have a month to get rid of it and i dropped 4lbs last week cos i wasn't able to eat properly, silver lining and all that

my cakes are made and iced (bless you mum :T !) and have dad all prepped for getting the bread rolls from a favourite baker in golders green (hmmmmmmm kosher food tastes good) going to be funny to serve them with a hog roast :rotfl: :rotfl:

hope you are all getting ready and no-one has any last minute problems!
