DD tried her dress on tonight after I'd made her have a bath :p and it fits!:j i thought I was going to have to have it taken in but once again a lace up back comes up trumps :T

It's a perfect ankle length on her as well - fingers crossed for the other 2 next weekend

    Yay well done!!

Mine don't have lace up backs but they come with crocodile type clips you can pull the back in with... My 31yo sister is wearing an age 17-18 dress.... Cow!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

  • Thanks for reply,
I live near Wolverhampton, West Mids, but it will be held in Aberystwyth, (mid Wales), so its going to be internet/telephone planning too! We are on a tight budget, so a simple reception with buffet seems best - but I am open to ideas!

Right - starting to fret over stupid stuff now! Wine or no wine? Trying to save on the cost so originally decided no wine. The room has it's own bar and people can buy their own drinks. My cousin didn't have wine at her wedding. But then I'm thinking: are you supposed to have wine for the toasts? Not that we're planning any toasts!

GRRR! I wish the wedding was tomorrow so it'd be too late to fuss about stuff!

 I knew I shouldn't have rung my mother today and waited for her to phone me at 8:10 precisely tomorrow. She has been telling me that she doesn't want to know about the dresses as she want's a surprise on the day and tonight she tells me she feels left out so updated her on how it was all going and then she says well x and y aren't like you had last time  Of course they're not I'm 16 years older and my tastes have changed just a small bit (especially in men :rotfl:).

Anyway spoke to my lovely MIL who is the complete opposite. She rang to tell me that 2 guests wouldn't be able to make it and then spoke to OH who told me his DD is bringing her BF (wonder how long he's known that for) - so then had to change my table plan twice - have cut it down to 5 tables now though so that saves 2 bottles of wine. Fortunately the venue are doing the actual plan :p

Am getting really Teed off now - I ended up taking the last invite off OH as he hadn't managed to get it sent for 4 weeks and will post it tomorrow - he also doesn't seem to understand that I need to know his mate's GF names and whether they are even coming I can see two Ann Other's on the plan at this rate :rotfl:.

Sorry rant over - I really need to chill and look forward to a delightful day at work and an 8:10 phone call tomorrow evening....................

I understand you.... Still waiting for 2 addresses for OH guests, just found out SIL bf surname (after OH made me spell his name wrong on the invite!) and my sister has changed her guest from her current bf to her ex husband!

Our venue are not doing the table plan!

Just back from very boozy weekend in Scotland - got to bed at 4am this morning:eek:

Small bridesmaids dress fits :D shoes are too big but if I take the elastic out of the back then they will be fine.

Big bridesmaid gave me a heart attack as she has given up smoking and put on at least half a stone! Had another heart attack when tried dress on and got it stuck:eek: but then got her to step into it and after a bit of wriggling is fine even laced up when I kneed her in the back to pull it in :rotfl: Have banned her from eating for the next 3 weeks. The tattoos on her wrists are hideous but are on the inside so won't be seen when she has her bouquet and the one on her neck that I was really worried about is hidden by her hair.

Didn't realise how stressed I was about her dress until it fitted and I felt absolutely exhausted as the adrenaline drained away. Just the fish and the rooms to sort out now. 3 weeks tomorrow:eek:

3 guests aren't able to come so have more in my flower budget - bonus :D
