Hell it's all getting close now .
Have become highly strung and emotional over the weekend OH even did all the ironing yesterday - shows how bad I was :rotfl:.
Went to pick up BM dress on Sat and it wasn't ready - not a good start!
Have finally ordered fish but have decided to maybe replace them with candles if they start to struggle.
Table plan has gone to venue and will pay them today.
Was going to alter DS trousers but he's grown so no need now - something else off my list.
Flowers are being ordered today and have final hair and dress trial tomorrow - scary scary scaryOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Back from final dress fitting - not sure it was me in the mirror - dress was even better this time - who needs to breathe anyway :rotfl:.
Saw mock up of cake as well :T.
I can't believe it's getting so close - woke in a panic at 6 this morning dreaming that the hotel had spelt the groom's name wrong on everythingOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Can't believe how close it's getting too.... Remember when I first came on the weddings and anniversary boards and I only had about 3 posts to my name... Look at me now! lol.... Feel like everyones going to be getting married and disapearing offlist leaving me and my right at the end of september wedding behind... Wish mine was in a fortnight!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I can I hate having my picture taken - I hope he does a good job :rotfl:.
Didn't have to deck the seamstress yesterday as the BM dress was ready and she'd pressed it for me. Really glad it was as DD was like a little rottweiler and it wasn't even her dress that needed altering. have no idea where she gets her aggressive streak from .
I have only one important thing left to do - get rid of this huge spot in my chinOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Does anyone know where I can get some cake supports from? I don't mind either pillars or the polystyrene discs. I know M&S do the pillars - do they come with dowel rods? I'm getting last minute panics now. The best man came round earlier and said the top spray of flowers looked too big for the cake! I thought it looked quite nice - I was going to have the 3 tiers stacked directly on top of each other (got fruit cake so it will take the weight, panicking now hence the question about supports!), with a spray on the top tier, then a larger spray placed next to the bottom tier. I also have burgundy ribbon around each tier. The spray for the top does almost cover the top tier, but I thought it looked fine until the best man put a horrible niggle of doubt in my already over-stressed mind!
What do you think? If I get pillars, I only have 2 sprays of flowers. If I get discs then I just need to get wider ribbon. Or I could take the chance and stack them without. I've only got 2 days left now so I know it's a bit late, but any advice is appreciated!Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -

What do men know about cakes? :rotfl:
M&S do both pillars and the dowels as well but I think you have to cut them to size or is there a sugar craft shop anywhere near you as they will have them.
Why are you suddenly worried when you were perfectly happy before? Has anyone else seen it? If not get a couple more opinions and then do what you want. I'm sure it looks lovely.

Hurrah solved it! I've bought some cake pillars, and because I only had 2 sprays I've bought a novelty bride and groom for the top tier. Just waiting for caterer to come and fetch it all now, she's due at 1pm. Everything else is now finally set, so all I need to do is wait!Just 2 days, I can't believe it, the time's flown.
Hope everyone's arrangements are going to plan!Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -

had the buttonhole conversation earlier this afternoon with friend who is doing the flowers - am not happy about how much they are costing - was only going to have them for OH best man and DS until MIL asked what they were having.
My mother sniffed when she asked if we were having a top table and the answer was sort of, its round, and you're not on it :rotfl:.
Have put people on tables but they can sit where they like on the table itself mainly so my friends don't have to sit with my motherOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
