We've ordered corsages for the moms (and step mom's) and button holes for the main men... Dads, brothers and MOH husband... they're only costing 70p though because I have cheap taste in flowers! I wouldn't know how many to order if I wanted everyone coming to the church one... It's an open invite to the entire congregation!

And don't talk to me about seating plans!!! At least there's another 2 months for MIL to change her mind about coming....
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I've just had a call from the venue and confirmed the seating plan so its tough now :p.

My flippers and snorkel arrived today so I can go on my honeymoon and have just sorted out my clothes and put half of them back in the wardrobe so should only have about twice as much as I wear this year :rotfl:

Seconded from me pinkpig - blimey I'll soon be in single figures for number of days.

Is anyone else getting all emotional? OH rang me as he has been away most of the week and warned me that he will be away most of next week as well - that was it the floodgates opened - was in tears a lot of last weekend as well.

He doesn't seem to realise that while he's getting his work sorted out for while we are away I'm juggling everything else.
All he has to worry about is work as he knows I will have everything else covered. He says he'll ring lots if he is away but I can't get him to understand that it's just not what I really need.

Sorry whinge over - I can't really speak to him again about it as it will turn into a huge row. I've already threatened to call it all off but he thinks I was joking :o Men!:rotfl:

Phew! This time tomorrow I'll be married  Thanks for all your good wishes

Caterer has fetched everything for the tables and the cake. I finally got my guestbook yesterday, dashed out this morning to get gifts for bridesmaids, parents etc. Then came home and did my speech! It's not very long, I'm not very good at speaking in front of people.

Just ironed the bridesmaids dresses. The dry cleaners delivered mine this morning as they didn't clean it in time yesterday. However I've now noticed a slightly dirty mark near the hem. Not panicking though, you can't really see it once the dress is on and the train is on the floor. I'm sure it'll get much dirtier anyway!

I've finished packing the suitcase. I just hope I remember all the last minute stuff - toothbrush, make-up etc!

When I'd bought the gifts I realised I hadn't bought DS anything as he was with me. Luckily I've got a computer game in the cupboard which I was saving for Christmas so I'll wrap that up whilst he's asleep tonight. I think he'd prefer that anyway than a sparkly trinket box!

Good luck to everyone whos' weddings are coming up soon

I want some piccys too :D
  • Only just noticed this thread - good luck to everyone else with August dates :j :j

Ours is next Friday (8th) - hoping all the 8s in the date will bring us good luck as it's second time round for both of us.

Getting very excited now - it's just the five of us (6 if you include the dog!) - me and OH and my 3 offspring - my daughters (17 and 14) are old enough to be witnesses so we don't need anyone else there and they are going to ask my son (9) sign next to his sister's signatures so he's included too.

So, I've been reading threads on here where people are having problems pleasing family etc and breathing a sigh of relief that we've avoided all that this time round. Just a lovely simple relaxed day - wedding at the top of a lighthouse, which will be fab, followed by a picnic and then a nice meal in the evening.

We are then having a meal with my closest family the following Monday evening to share the news with them and OH's closest family in the run-up to OH's nephew's Christening the week after!!!

Our rings are going to be in and out of their box as we don't want family to guess prior to sitting down over a nice meal with some fiz!!!!!

    Good luck everyone :D

Wow smileypigface that's brave! I wouldn't dare get married without telling any of them! but at the end of the day it's about what you want - how romantic at the top of a lighthouse!

I wish you lots of luck and hope you have a wonderful day :j
