Here goes..For those who don't know, I lived in Sweden before coming here
In Dec 1999 I bought a computer and ventured on to the weird and wonderful world of the interweb, I spent plenty a time talking to lots of interesting people from around the world (whilst avoiding my then husband).
Lots of these people gave me a new perspective on life (of which I was thoroughly tired)and courage, and I finally did what I had wanted to do for a long time, decided to leave my husband.
Amongst the people I was talking to a couple became very good friends and one in particular was easy to talk to (ok, should be, he's a psychotherapist!), I knew him only as Xirdneh.
I got a flat and left, not only my husband but also my children (no, that does not make me a bad mother, just the opposite, it was the right thing to do at the time), needless to say it was quite an emotional time but also very exciting as I begun a new chapter in my life.
The first phonecall I recieved in my new abode was from Xirdneh, I was so embarassed and not used to speak English I spent most of that conversation giggling like a teenager.:o
We kept talking on the phone and online and one day I decided I needed to get away and put myself back together so I could be a whole person and a good mother and to figure out where my life was going from there. The most neutral place I could think of was with Xirdneh, I knew he could catch me if I fell so I without further ado invited myself over
My mother would be appalled if she knew, I told her I met him whilst on holiday.
I duly arrived at Heathrow on the 19th of August 2000 and there he was. It was really weird and a bit awkward, we then set off in his car all the way out west.
After a week when I had been wined and dined I was thoroughly relaxed and madly in love! Fortunately it was mutual!!:rotfl:
After a week I came home, promptly chucked my job in, (which I hated all of the 8 years I did it) and booked a month over here. I figured if I could live with him for a month I could live with him for life.
When I came home after that month I then tried to figure out how to tell my parents I was leaving the country in Febuary and wasn't coming back....eventually did that, but not before I told my ex that he now had a choice, either the boys stay with him 'til they finish school (at 16) or they come with me on that same condition, I didn't want them changing between schoolsystems, I know how hard that can be.
He eventually decided in Jan that they were going with me.
I arrived in this country to live on the 12 Feb 2001.
My new life had begun.
The boys followed two months later and we haven't looked back since.
Germish and Xirdneh married in July 2002 and lived happily everafter.:D
THE END
PS I was safety concious as you have to be when you meet strangers from the internet, before I booked the flight I duly asked Xirdneh -"Are you an axe-murderer?" to which he answered -"No", so I knew I was safe !:rotfl:0 -

Hi Shaz,
tried your recipe today and it was so easy and lovely although it took a little longer to cook than the 45 minutes (but I think that's more to do with my oven than the recipe). I hope you don't mind that I have posted on the July grocery challenge how lovely it was and a link to your post for the recipe.
Many thanks

Hi penelope penguin,
as you know we did debate if that would be the case, sorry it went off-topic! Please would you let me know where you move it to, and perhaps I could post a link in my earlier post just before the party started, for people to click if they'd like to see what happened next?
Thank you,
Weezl x

oo Germish thats a lovely tale...how bizarre that you live in WSM - spent alot of my childhood there & mum mum still lives there - I can wave at you on a clear day!! Which part do you live in? My mum was in the shrubberies & I used to live on Milton Road! Small world...must have been a huge & hard decision for you to leave but lovely that the tale has turned out so well
Shaz watched the videos...Is it only me that finds these things a bit unnerving? I think it worries me that its a bit end of the worldy and I think if the end of the world is coming I'd rather now know about it but deal with it when it comes IYKWIM? THis possibly means that I am a stick my head in the sand kinda girl and I do tend to "cross that bridge when I come to it" but also dont have the physical space to hoard...unless I turned my room into a larder?! Umm will have a think...move shoe rack from hall & inset large shelves in hall downstairs....
I also realised that we didnt do pudding photo so to be complete have replicated Mr & Mrs Weezl's sering request (seemed rude not to and have now scoffed it!) and will upload in a mo. Manu is, once again, the cat that got the cream!! Couple of calls to make and will be back!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! ISOM beautiful cat you have.
I'm just around the corner from Mr T, let me know when you come down next time and we could grab a coffee if you like.
Actually, moving here was quite an easy decision to make, it felt so right I never had any doubts. Since then I make decisions with my heart and my gut, not with my brain, 'cause that never worked very well.
I got about 5 litres of chicken stoc from my chicken carcass and a couple of carrots, that's got to be dead cheap. will put soya-cream and finely chopped veg and leftover chicken (only a handful left) in it tomorrow and serve it with HM bread (need to find a quick recipe) for dinner. DH will want something else though as apparently soup is a starter, not food!
*sigh*

As asda's spaghetti is now 23p for 500g (smartprice) the spaghetti with oil and garlic posted earlier now works out at a staggering 10p per person per meal!:money:
Would anyone like the geeky Maths about nutrition?

What nutritional content was in last nights meal?!!!! Is that less than more than before Weezl? For my tea I had pasta, few olives, feta and some salami all done in the wok & enough for tomorrows lunch...photo to follow. Is that Mr T's in town Germish? Have to say I hardly ever visit TBH as too many memories but youre always welcome for tea here!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
