Much as I am grateful to Martin for the article, I was surprised by how much more difficult than expected it was to unlock my Nokia 6600, although I did manage it.

The article makes no mention of DCT3/DCT4, ASIC type, or Key Code.
I managed to find these by googling the various terms and finding info in other forums.

please acn u help me as i have a sonyericcson w800i and i bought it off sume one but he didnt tell me that the there was a personal pin number on it one of the ones u put in yrself and i cant get hold of him and i cant use the fone so i was wondering if there is anything i can do to get into the fone like a default override or something plz can u give me any advice coz im desperate thanx very much

can you get into the menu and do a master reset?
if not then you may be able to read or reset the code on server like this

I tried to use a Virgin SIM card in the phone, but it asked for a SPCK?
