Thank you Browntoa, I really appreciate you being nice to a newbie. I had been looking at the Nokia thread earlier and hadn't realised I had posted in the wrong place. I have tried the codes but think I must be missing out something inspite of doing it together with the instructions from the Nokia thread. Here's what I've done, first with one code and then with the other but nothing is happening!
I removed the SIM, put the battery back in and switched on the phone. Then I put in the code.....and waited! Am I suppose to do something else at that stage? Sorry for being so thick about this. All help appreciated.
Thanks

make sure you also put the #PW+ bits in (use the * key to get the PW+)
but dont enter the spaces0 -
This can also mean you need a different one of the 7 codes, try 1 next then 5.0
-
you need to put a sim card from another network in the phone then enter the code when asked for a restriction codeEx forum ambassador

Thanks so much folks especially Browntoa, you are all brilliant. It worked perfectly when I put in a different SIM.
