Schools are now looking for November mocks, re-takes in January and then the formal season starting as early as April (MFL oral exams).
Good Luck anyone looking for a post.
Water bottle with labels, calculator cases, non-clear pencil cases, tissue packets and even sweets are getting banned. It appears if they can write on it they will.
How about getting them to put hair up because they could have an 'in ear' device. Blimey if they are that clever surely they'd pass the exams anyway :rotfl:0 -
Ah, but crafty isn't the same as clever!;)[0

True, but the ingenuity of some students is very creative.0

Yay, I had a chat with the lady at school today and am now on the bank of invigilators, starting January. How many weeks do the exams go on for?“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Varies from school to school depending on when they hold their mocks.[0

I have been doing invigilating for two years now, both autumn and summer terms.. One piece of advice I would give is to wear 'quiet' shoes, and also to have a cardigan or fleece just in case. Sometimes it can be chilly in the hall or gym where the exam is usually held.0

There has just been a new website launched (trustatrainer.co.uk) and they are letting exam inviglators sign up for free for a year at present. Apperently there has been a shift in the way higher ed (18+) is done and there will be increased demand. You don't need to be qualified to sign up just know the general exam regulations and be self employed0

Just a word of caution. Following an advert in a local paper I applied at a large local and reputable state school. Of course you have to provide ID including birth certificate. I was immediately refused because I had been adopted and therefore didn't have a "Birth Certificate" as required; I did offer an original "Adoption Certificate".
(My father died of war wounds and my mother of post surgical complications and I have no police record whatsoever! I even ran a Scout Group for 15 years)0
