oh good luck with your car, hope its not too much of a shock for you when it comes to paying the repair bill

Well i've managed an NSD today :j could have done with some milk for tomorrows brekkie, but i'll water it down a bit :p

i really need some inspiration for meals, we seem to just eat the same stuff week after week!! its either shepherds pie or spag bol using mince, or pork chop with salad & jacket potato, chicken....well, if i roast it, we have a roast dinner 2days on the trot, then something like chicken fried rice, or chicken/salad wraps.

DD and DS won't eat pastry, so i can't make any pies to break up the week a bit, so if anyone's got any bright ideas for a bit more variety, i'm listening!!
  • thanks mandy,

i think i know how much its going to be, so my gc budget might get dramatically trimmed to help pay for it

Not much activity for me this month. Did sell a couple of bits on ebay but not transferred from paypal yet so won't count that till I do. Banked £50 of coins 1 x£2, 1 x£1 and 1x50p. Also, 28p interest brings my running total to £340.72.

Right, I need your help - I used the search but could not find anything

I have over a kilo of dried apricots to use. What do I use them for??? My main problem is that I don't think OH like apricots. I was going to make a peach and apricot cobbler for myself, and use some of them rehydrated in pork burgers. Can you use them in HM yoghurt?

Last time I had bag of dried apricots I used some in a cereal bar recipe (it was one on here somewhere for 'healthier' cereal bars)

You can make apricot jam from them.

If you don't like pastry try using mash for pie toppings. You can use mashed potato, or mashed vegetables. HTH, Kaz.
