I signed up for Talk Talk last night, and am now wondering whether I made the right decision or not! I have seen some really bad comments about the service. I know I know, I should have looked into things before I signed up :o
This wasn't helped by the fact that I attempted to 'log-in to my Account" this morning, but got the message, unknown email address! I also put in my order number, still the same.

I am unsure of what I have to do next! Do I have to cancel with my current ISP? Likewise with B.T.? I THINK it said on the TT website I did not have to? that TT would arrange things. Can someone please confirm this.
Just one more query I am right hopefully in saying, I will NOT have to pay BT line rental?

I am almost wishing I could cancel, but its too late now I suppose?
I would really appreciate some advice, thank you

As long as you've got an order number, all is ok. You can use that to track your order, there's a link on their site. I don't think you'll be able to log into your account until you actually start with them.

They will contact BT, who will contact your current ISP. You won't have to pay BT line rental once TT take over.

They've written to me already, and I'm impressed with the service at this early stage, it's just the connection fee business that irritates me.

Without joining Quidco I can`t see how the £48 is made up and what service you have to take from TT,so I can`t really comment.
Anyway it`s too late now, going live on Thursday on the £16-39 a month package.

I have found that no matter which ISP is mentioned there is always adverse comments by someone and plenty of bad reports about BT and Virgin.
The only way to find out if TT is ok is to try it.
I know this shouldn`t be the case but these companies seem to be a law unto themselves, promising one thing but delivering another.

As regards cancelling, you may have 7 days under the distant selling regs. --- no doubt others will let you know.

On the face of it £16-39 seems a great deal for what you`re getting compared to £10-50 just for a BT line.
  • Hi all,

Regarding the connection fee with TalkTalk. It incorrectly confirmed last week there was no longer a connection fee. The higher powers at TalkTalk have been in discussion with Martin to see how this can be resolved and if there's a way around it. Any updates will be in the weekly e-mail

This is what it says on Quidco regarding the £48:
£48 for Talk2 or 3 International Landline connection with 2MB or 8MB Broadband

I too signed up to Talk Talk mid March and have an order number but not much else. I too have the wobbles about it. Plus my current provider has offered a much better deal off the back of telling them about my move to Talk Talk.

Talk Talk has a 30 day free trial (I presume once you are actually set up) - anyone know if the trial is in fact 'free'?
