Hello,I too am a newbie on this site.Last month I noticed £10 had been taken from my bank account and couldnt remember what it was for, then this month I noticed the same again.I decided to investigate and suddenley found all these other people who have had the same problem.I made a purchase from the trainline.com and claimed a £15 reward but I definitely DID NOT give my card details and sign up for anything.I am very cautious about such things.Anyway after reading many compliants I am now going to get in touch with said company and demand a full refund and ask for my details to be removed from their data base. People should be made aware of this company using card details for their own gain !

I was caught out as well. 11 months. Really stupid of me not to realise sooner. Traced back to a purchase I made from Pets Planet. Clicked on a banner to get £10 off my next purchase.
After lots of very angry emails to SD and R, and a temporary hold on my credit card, I have been promised a full refund of £88 in 10 days. They tell it's my own fault. But I never knowingly gave them my credit card details.
Everyone be very very careful out there0 -
In order to cancel your membership, go to Shopper Discount website; FAQ; General Questions and then you choose the one that says how to cancel your membership. Once cancelled write down or copy that page with the reference number, should they take any more money from your account you can take further action against them.
Hope this helps0 -
I registered for this yesterday through National Express, which I trust!
I realised when reading the site later that it was a subscription, because I spotted the 30 day free trial. I have phoned them to cancel but they are telling me I have not subscribed and they dont have my details:mad:
I know I definatly did subscribe I gave my card details thinking my £15 reward was going to be credited, now I am at a dead end and dont know what to do. Frankly as a single parent of 4 I simply cant afford the £10 a month subscription.
I have not received any emails, did anybody else have a delay after subscribing?0 -

It's very easy to cancel your subscription and get all the money back (if they have your details).
I didnt notice their email, i think it went in my junk folder and I deleted it, I'm not sure.
Keep an eye on you online and mini bank statements to see if they take any money over the next month.0 -

I rang them today and the woman in customer services was quite comfortable in cancelling my account and refunding the past 3 months worth of ten pound payments.
I have absolutely no record of them setting this account up, no email confirmation or advice of credit card mandate. Their email was probably picked up by my spam filter as you mention above and, thus, I was not aware of the setup.
Devious? yes. Illegal? probably not. Immoral? definitely.0 -
i'm sorry but am i the only one who used this website successfully? Got my £15 cashback from some train tickets and then left online as soon as the cheque cleared.
It clearly stated it was a 30 day trial and would charge £10 a month thereafter, it was also very clear that it was a seperate company form 'thetrainline.com'.
I think anyone who ends up paying the £10 and complains needs to be accompanied by an adult when using the internet...0 -
I have today checked up with VistaPrint and they had indeed signed me up with SHOPPERDISCOUNT. I requested that this be suspended and that the money be refunded. I was PROMISED that the money would be refunded and that the subscription would be terminated...... I'll report back
Please, everyone, check your statements carefully - this is just downright unfair and should not happen to any of us.If you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!!0 -

Consumer Affairs Team- Do you have permission from the MSE Forum Team to be posting on behalf of your company (it's late, and I'm too tired to go off to the other board and check)? If not, email [Removed] and ask for permission.
- Does your company website have contact details that are easily accessible to site visitors? If not, get it sorted - you are breaking UK law.
- Does your company now make it clear what's happening and do your partners have to do the same when they sign up to work with you? If not, get it sorted too - it's unfair and misleading.
