They now say that they have cancelled my membership of both Shopper and My Time.

If any unauthorised payments are taken, my bank will take them back.

Reading through this thread, I am staggered that something hasn't been done about these crooks. Can it be that The Train Line and other sites like Interflora and Easy Jet don't know about this? Doubt it somehow.

May I suggest a class action against this company? Surely there must be a lawyer out there willing to support this cause. I can't believe thousands of people have been conned for so many years and Shopper Discount is still around making money at poor people's expenses.

I have had a go at The TrainLine and they seem to be taking the matter seriously. They deny passing bank details to Shopper Discounts so I have suggested that something fishy is going on and this is their latest reply . . .

I appreciate you for taking time in sending us the feedback.

I have passed the details to our Development Team to check this matter seriously.

I again appreciate you taking the time out to share your thoughts with us.

Great thanks to Nigel for original post. I have just ordered a new garden hose from The Daily Mirror and was suckered in to click on a £15 cash back link.

 I did not realise that joining this scheme/scam would cost £10 a month. I have followed a link to cancel; hopefully it will work.

Sounds like the wafer is beginning to crumble for this scam company, lets see if Intaflora n Easyjet finally follow suit, for now ...they stay on the Hall of Shame.

I e-mailed The Mirror to complain about this scam, giving them a bit of flattery about them, as a reputable company not wanting to be associated with crooks. Had no reply! How much commission do they get, do you reckon?

  • Seems I got scammed by mytimerewards.co.uk via National Express £15 reward. Got £10 taken 3 times before I cancelled it, hopefully. No doubt its legal and they sent me some email in amongst the spam but I never actively signed up for anything. They say they'll repay £10 and as I got the £15 I'm only £5 down. Put a complaint in via credit card co too.

If it seems to good to be true .....

    Put it down to experience.

    Alan.

The Train Line never replied to my complaint - they can now take a running jump at themselves, I'll use the individual rail operators in future.

Just call them and tell them to give you your money back now, otherwise your lawyer will ask for them with the interests. As easy as that.
