My bank LLoydsTSB were aware of thi company and supplied me with their phone number. Yet to see if I get my months subscription back!0

Basically Watchdog are a farce, set up to make people THINK there is a service for consumer protection, yet in stark reality, they are far far too busy knitting to get involved in such things as consumer rights.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

As promised - to update my two recent posts on this matter - I am pleased to report that shopperdiscounts.co.uk have been as good as their word and have refunded my two £10-00 payments that were taken from my credit card.
I have learned from this experience and hope others do to, it's just such a shame that an otherwise good service such as thetrainline.com have been tainted by their association with this discount company.
As I said in my previous post, when I searched my deleted box I did find an e mail which, right at the bottom of a very long piece of blurb sent some weeks after 'signing up', did say that their service would cost me £10-00 a month. So please all be aware to read more thoroughly than I did!!

Thank you good people
I just googled their company's name as soon as they sent a confirmation email and I found this site.
All emails to them bounce back. Attempts to speak to them are difficult but it is possible to cancel their membership through their FAQ section. I have, thankfully, recieved an email confirming cancellation.
Surprisingly, I spoke to Barcaycard and they were completely unsympathetic. They tried to explain to me that I should resolve the matter with this company and refused to accept that any charges by them would be fraudulent. Guess what ?? Barclaycard's loss. I immediatly cancelled my Barclaycard account.
Thanks again.

This thread wouldn't exist, and 100s and 100s of people wouldn't feel they have scammed by your company if you just did 1 simple thing.

I emailed with a read reciept attached.
The email promptly bounced back.
I admit I did not try to call as I was able to cancel through the FAQ section.0 -
 I have just found this thread as I have recently been stung by this outfit myself. I purchased a £9.99 item from BestDirect which has now cost me another £20 plus phone calls etc. My Credit card company will not refund although they are aware of this scam. All they would do is give me a phone number to contact to cancel. This is an automated system that allows you to cancel but will inform you that they are going to take another months payment. I informed the credit card company on the 1st of march that I wanted to cancel then rang the SD cancel line on the 1st of March and another £10 was taken on the 6th March. The previous payment was taken on the 9th of Feb so it seems to me they moved the date forward to steal another £10 off me. Any other contact does not seem possible. I have spoken again to the credit card company who have sent me a form to fill in and have said they will attempt to get me a refund although on past experiences with SD they do not hold out much hope. I cannot believe that they are still being allowed to operate this scam after so long as I notice the first posts on here are from a year ago.0

I also got caught by using VISION DIRECT.
Just thought I'd mention it.
