Thanks Dave - this has saved me £24! I went through the automated system and got £8 back, the other £16 is 'on the way'. Let's call this what it is, a con. Trainline.com, who won't be getting any more money out of me, got me. Much better and cheaper to use raileasy.co.uk anyhow...0

Same here from Easyjet - can't believe they pass on your credit card details so readily! The automatic selection of travel insurance on their website is bad enough!
But shame on me for not following up on my credit card statements - I noticed it in the past and thought it was another subscription I started - at least they put their phone number on the statement.
I paid 9 months before cancelling - same deal - 3 months refund and I've requested the rest FAXing back their claim form - lets see...0 -
I fell into the same trap, i ordered a picture from POSTERS.COM and I have been paying since last january £8 per month. I had no idea it was coming out of the same credit card. I have called them and although they said they had many happy customers? I asked for a full discount they have cancelled the so called membership and given me 3 months refund within the next 10days, and i have to fill in a form for the rest which they will email you.
I have no idea how I could have signed up for this so be careful what you but online and watch out for pop-ups. Thanks to this website I knew what to do...0 -
have successfully cancelled the subscription and no charges appeared on credit card. Have received all cashback as promised. I may be lucky - although still cant win on carnivalinabox.com!0

I also have been subject this scam. I was signed up through Trainline.com. and not easyjet and it has got more expensive. The charge has gone up from £8 to £10. It was easy enough to cancel my subscription over the phone. 08082341539 if you need it.
I have got say thanks to thomasw because he posted the contact phone number for shoppersdiscounts.co.uk and it was not listed anywhere on the website. If it was I could not find it.
I am very angry for being caught by this.
Thanks to this website or I would not have had the number to ring. Cheers.0 -

Just like all those before me, the mysterious £8.00 charge arrived on the card statement. National Express the culprits this time. Good news on reclaim. Rang Capitol One to explain problem. No bother, they sorted it out staightaway refunded money and will be monitoring the a/c to make sureshopper discount has deleted our details. A hearty thank you to Capitol One staff0

There still up to the same tricks I see. My came about via a transaction I did with Expedia. I've rung Shopper Discounts and ordered them to cancel my "subscription" and refund the money on pain of legal action. I can only suggest those of us who have fallen victim to this scam contact the original agent, in my case Expedia expressing our disgust. I will happily tell Expedia that I purchase a not inconsiderable amount of business travel online each year BUT now they will never see me again as a customer. Perhaps this is the only to make them, Easyjet, National Coach, etc, choose their friends more carefully.0

Just to say that I found that I had signed up when I requested cashback after a purchase at thetrainline.com - however when I phoned up they promised to refund the 2 monthly fees straight away. You need to phone 08082341539 and choose option 2 'membership number' - you can get your membership number from their website.0

I made a purchase today from MyMemory.com (via quidco), and after paying, was presented with a screen offering a tempting £15 off my next purchase, if I registered with SD&R. Hmmm...
However, being a good little MoneySavingExpert, I read all the small print (and to be fair, it did say you would be charged £10 per month after the 30-day trial), and had a look at this forum first. And, having read of peoples problems with cancelling it, I've decided it's just not worth the hassle (and the thought of actually paying for my discounts goes against the grain - that's what quidco et al. are for!).
No problems with MyMemory though, as I've found them very good value in the past (today I bought a pair of Kingston 8Mb Micro-SDHC memory cards for £20.99, as a twin-pack - a bargain!).0
