Are there any elidgeable (sp?) batchelors out there for me
Err, :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: . I'm over here in the motorhome
Re the job, take a tip from one who (thinks) he knows. Go with your initial instinct and when you've made a decision, stick to it. I was taught that as an apprentice by one of my mentors and it's served me well so far, though in the present situation, I'm beginning to wonder

DH disconnected it took the back off and carefully dried the circuits with papper then gave the keyboard a good scrub with a nail brush (we didnt take the keys out) it spent a couple of hours in the airing cupboard and got finished off with a hair dryer on low heat, he put it all back together and it works perfectly now:T
That's interesting mrs-moneypenny.
The same has happened with our laptop, although it's only when you press the d and k buttons that we have problems - it goes like this dkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk or kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
but, if you press another button, as soon as you've pressed either d or k, you can stop it.
Girls are just using the laptop to play games on at the moment though.

Morning all  ((Hugs for smokey)) and anyone else that needs them.
Squiggly - blackout fabric is worth the investment if you want total darkness. It is a bit stiff though and not easy to stitch through - all I did was cut a chunk the size of the window and punched some eyelets through it at the corners then hung it on panel pins when I needed it. I also found that stitching an extra lining into the curtains worked wonders too.
Crazychik - glad your getting some feedback from the agency, I'm sure they'll do their best to find something for you that will fit round the hours you'd like to work. Hope today goes better for you too.
Essex-girl - We went to Nando's for dinner with friends last week, we've never had a bad experience there so far.Hope you enjoy your night out
jet77 - I know that there are lots of factors involved in choosing between jobs, you really can only make the decision based on what you hope to get out of each of them. 1/2 hour commute is really reasonable though - it takes me that long to walk to work now. In my last proper job I commuted 1.5 hrs each way on the train with two changes in each direction - that was truly horrendous - becuase of the changes I couldn't even go to sleep as I'd have ended up in Newbury or Swansea! I used to use the time quite productively though, doing my paperwork or planning the next day (the train was just a extension of my office really!). I would suggest that you just try the journey a few times before you decide, just to see if it suits you to do the travelling. Well done on the offers though
Quiet here as boss is AWOL. OH is off early tommorrow to Canada, so the house is going to be quiet too. I have to go to the market today as we are out of veg. Must remember that it's only going to be me on my own this week so not to buy too much. I must eat properly though as normally I'd just eat crackers and not bother cooking just for me (she says, sitting at her desk with a diet coke and half a tonne of fruitcake).
Have a good day all, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -

Jet77 I would personally take the better job with more money, you could always then get a cleaner to free up your weekend time, not very MSE but quality time with family is precious, good luck with your decision and well done on being offered 2 jobs
