    Good Morning :j

I am stiff as a board this morning. My back has seized up after lifting all 32kg of Black Bob the [strike]Delinquent Dog[/strike] Big Scaredy Wuss onto the vet's examination table yesterday. Felt a bit sore yesterday, but today I had difficulty getting out of bed - hence the lateness of this post. But his leg is mending very well. Then the vet and I had to wrestle him to get the bandages back on. Don't think Black Bob likes the vets. Fat Bob the Ginger Pup lurves the vet because she gets special meaty doggy treats from her if she's good.

I'm trying to finish decorating the dining room today. I've done one wall so far :o. Fortunately I'm just slapping some more of the same colour over what's there already to freshen it up so the one fresh wall doesn't stand out too much.

OH is working from home today, so I'll be up and down stairs all day to [strike]the spare bedroom[/strike] his stylish office with cups of tea, biccies and sandwiches all day. Why does working from home make him lose the use of his legs? He knows where the kitchen is. And he ties up the phone all day with all this working nonsense. What happens if I need a girly chat with one of my friends? :p

DD2(11) has a pal coming for a sleepover later. DD has cleaned her bedroom so that we can see the floor. I had forgotten she had a floor :o.

Anyway I'm waffling more than usual. Much love to smoky at this difficult time.

    Have a good day everyone.

You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Oi you lot - please :heart:GIVE BLOOD  - you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.

Taking DD to Eastbourne today, she's away Friday to Tenerife. First time she's ben abroad, first time on a plane, and she's 21! She's so excited. She and her fiance are going with his parents, it was their Xmas Present.:T

    Smokey-Hugs & Kisses

Had a tough day yesterday but was light relief reading all your posts last night on the daily:rotfl: ....you lot are flippin mental!

The sink was fitted and OH is not pleased with it:rolleyes: ...the pipe work laid is excellent, but they have a full size pedastal (sp) with the tiniest sink I have even seen and its really low:confused: ....sooooo OH is trying to find a better suited one for us, as there is not even space to put soap. You can barely put your hands in at the same time to wash them and I have small hands, OH cant. At least the main work with the pipes have been done:D

DD is at home today with a bad headache. We are all generally feeling quite rough today but not aware of any bugs going around ATM.

OH went to DD's parent evening last night as I couldnt make it and she is doing really well and very proud of her. She must stop talking though as she is a natter box:rolleyes: ....her artwork is stunning and she has been awarded several merits this year alone.

Im also in OH's badbooks today as I accidently dropped his laptop yesterday as my hands gave way, but it seems ok.

Anyway, hugs to all in need.

    Have a good day.

    Morning All

Tried to read some of the thread, then I realised the time. So must crack on!
Hope everyone is well, and (((hugs))) to those who are not sleeping well.

Another one who didnt go to bed till late, then woke early.

W*ork was ok, still felt an atmosphere, with people walking on egg shells, and watching what's being said around me. At least they are talking to me now, which is good, but I wont forget how I was treated!
OH received a call y-day from an agency offering him 2 jobs. Whilst the girl was on the phone, I gave my details and told her what I was looking for. She sounded positive with my confidence over the phone. The only trouble with trying to find a job for me, is the hours Im able to work. Im not in a position yet to go full time due to the children's ages! Ive got to email my cv to her anyway!

Savoury mince & veg for dinner later!
Got 2 loads of washing to get through later!
DS has finally finished his school projects. they get 3 every term! Too much for yr7's in my opinion!

    Have a great day all....

    Morning :hello:

((((hugs)))) to Smoky. I hope you're still bearing up.

Not sure quite what got into everybody last night :o but I hope you aren't too frightened Martyn :D I think I'll bow out of the race as the others have all got far more... errr...home comforts to offer than I have ;) [strike]though I'll have you know I'm less than half the age of some of them[/strike].

And I STILL haven't finished all those reviews I had to write. Though I am now over 50% of the way  I emailed them to myself at work so that if I get any flashes of inspiration during the course of the day I can make the most of them  I hate when I get writer's block with reviews - but if I didn't do it, I'd lose the free opera tickets...

jet77 - hmmm, tough one. I think I'd take the better-paid one - but mainly because it sounds like a better challenge and a gateway to other things, rather than just for the extra money. However I don't have kids so for me that wouldn't have to come into the decision. Maybe look at where you think you'll be in 5 years' time - will you be happier and giving your kids a better life by having taken the "better" opportunity?

mioliere - I recently took my work keyboard to bits. Took it home, popped off all the keys (levered them off with the blade of a blunt knife), cleaned the keyboard bed with an old toothbrush dipped in a Stardrops and water solution, then got some damp kitchen roll and wiped each key before I popped them on again. It only took about an hour in total. There is also a technique for washing keyboards in the dishwasher (which involves removing the keys, and sealing the connective bits inside a plastic bag before you start). You'll find it if you google. Sorry to state the bleedin' obvious, but it's important to take a picture of your keyboard (or download a diagram of a standard keyboard layout) before you start, so you know where the keys all go when you put them back!

Must be off and do some work. I'm off to an Aqua Aerobics class at lunchtime :j

    *   door opens very slowly and somewhat red-faced man sidles in nervously*

    Morning all.

Hope everyone is okay and to anyone who isn't, my thoughts and hugs.

Err, right, err, "cough", ahem :o Am I still allowed on here after last night? I hope no-one was/is offended by it all but I do feel more than a shade embarassed at having monopolised the thread. FWIW, I may have picked a winner  I don't have an address but I do have a street map of Hampshire and a homing pigeon-like ability to find free food and wine :D

I'll leave quietly now in case I'm no longer welcome.

    Good morning all.

No time to post really, I've got the old people's Lunch Club today, orange hands from peeling carrots anyone?:D

I just wanted to say, if you're reading this smokybabe, much love and support to you and the children. Thinking of you and praying hard that you get through today and tomorrow as best you can. (((((hugs)))))

(((hugs)) to all the poorly/ worried/upset ones.

PP would they have situated the sink low, so you don't struggle to reach it from your wheelchair? I'm sure they'd be willing to make it higher if it's at too low a level.
