Uncaged is a charity trying to to stop animal cruelty, Iams (P&G) are a business trying to make as much money as possible - doesn't take a rocket scientist to guess who is "massaging the truth"!!! How naive ?
nope, I'm not naive at all - I'd rather feed my dog something that has been researched thoroughly rather than tins of cheap/nasty offal
My choice - simple as that
I answered the question posed at the beginning of the thread - I don't want to get embroiled in a conversation about animal rights so please leave it alone !0 -
Am I the only one buying Hill's Science Plan for Puppies?
I know it's expensive but surely I cannot be the only one buying this....0 -
sorry not a big fan of Hills here, IMO its not good food and expensive:rolleyes: Democracy is a process by which the people are free to choose the man who will get the blame.:j0

I think the best diet for a dog is one of rice, lentils and vegetables (preferably organic).
And before someone says it's unnatural or unhealthy, bear in mind that the longest living dog in the UK - possibly in the world - was vegan.

Just to add my 2 pennies in - my dog is a jack russell. he ahs a mix of Gusto and tinned food (usually Ben @ 29p a tin) but he does get rice nad vegetables every so often as a treat.
and he is in perfect health. Although he does seem to get a bit ill for unexpelainable reasons (that was the vets term not mine) when he needs a bit more pampering and a more 'homemade' diet then he is right as rain again.Time to find me again0 -
I changed my dogs onto WAGG because it was so cheap and the ingredient list looked fine but it was terrible for them.I found their coats got dull and they were always hungry.Their behaviour also became strange on the new food.
I have changed them back to Tesco premium dry complet food which we buy in 17kg bags (one bag does the 2 dogs for 2 weeks or longer if they have some pasta or rice dinners)and they are very shiny, happy and healthy on that.I will check the price and add it later but its not expensive at all.
The 17KG bag of Tesco premium dry complete is £11.98.We also use the food as training treats so dont spend extra on that."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -

They dont have it online because the drivers are not allowed to lift anything that heavy:D .We get it on the bottom shelf in out local Tesco store.
We get the rest of out shopping delivered but hubby has to go and get this himself."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -

Sorry its not 17kg its 15kg.17kg was the wagg food but the tesco one is better value because we had to give them much more of the wagg food to make up the same daily nutritional value."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0
