Ours is currently on Wagg but was previously enjoying the Bakers (where you can add water to make a lovely gravy). Problem with both these is the amount of colourants used which I am sure is making her a bit hyper. When it runs out am going to switch back to JWB - not cheap but much better for her I think.

Wagg doesnt have any colourings, unlike Bakers!

    here is an ingredients list:

this is also useful for price comparison:

And no, I don't work for them, but I have had 2 dogs on this food, and both have enjoyed it, no tummy probs, and been healthy and fit - and my last dog died aged approx. 16 in her sleep, lively until the last!! My dog is now on Wagg working dog which is VAT free but has more protein, and is a bit more calorie rich, my dog does great on it, but a dog prone to putting weight on would be better on the Original variety.

I stick to the James Wellbeloved. It is expensive, but with the cheaper ones all her allergies come back and it costs a fortune in vets bills. So for this particular mutt, cheaper food is a false economy. I do buy it in the huge bags though, and have a local supplier who is cheaper than the pet supermarkets, which helps a bit. (Never tried Waggs - might bear it in mind for the future.)
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I have 6 dogs on Chappie Dry and they all love it, are very healthy and even the staffie that came with dodgy skin has no complaints anymore, when I worked at the vets its a food that we used to recommend all the time (before all the fancy/expensive hypoallergenic diets came out) for dodgy tummies, skin problems and its nice and cheap too a 15kg bag is usually about £14 but if you can buy it at a trade wholesaler (I use Batleys) you can get a bag for under £10.
  • We feed our lot on Wainwrights which is basically the same at James Wellbeloved, but made by PAH and cheaper.

    A 15KG sack costs about £25

My dogs love it and haven't got bored of it.

They got bored of Wagg and were on tinned Chappie with a mixer in for a while, got bored of that too. I wouldn't feed mine Bakers due to all the additives, colourings and preservatives in it.
Same with other dog foods, wouldn't feed them it due to contents or ethical reasons.

We get Tescos Complete dry food and they share a tin of meat a day. They get less dry food if we have any leftovers for them.

A massive bag of dry costs about £11 From tescos and is just like Bakers.

Thanks for all your replies, I dont mind paying a bit more as long as its not got any additives etc, I will have alook at Wagg, I apy around £12 for a 15 kg sack at the mo, but may look into buying wholesale and getting a few sacks at once to save a bit. my dogs go out twice a day, one for a smallish lead walk, and then a long hour run later, my collie never stops when were out, ball mad, he had the snip around 6 mths ago and I think his love for food has increased since then!
Ive got 2 x 6 mth old rescue dogs too who are still on 2 meals a day at present so our house is a bit manic at the mo!:p
