Please no one take this thread as an average, people so much more likely to post when win big.
There are plenty who post about poor winnings too, but that's not to say that they actually average out as such - anyone looking to understand the likely return should work on the basis of this being in the region of 2.6%, so roughly £1,300 annually on a full holding, i.e. £100 or £125 are average months for maximum holders.

What day do you think they will pay out winners this month 11th or 13th ?
2 day bank holidays at the start of a month must have been very beneficial for NS&I to keep the money for that long.

I think it will be the 12th. Isn't it the sixth working day of the month each time?

Yes i think it is misleading, had/has me worried. I did consider changing it to an external account but am intrigued now, so have left it as is to see what happens. I will update you next week. Hopefully I will have my money!
Checked my direct saver account this morning for the residual amount of prize money that has taken me over the threshold, and it is has not been deposited yet, Will check again tomorrow.

Did try phoning them but got cut off, not great customer service :(
It's just my opinion and not advice.

Keep trying SouthCoastBoy.    I had to try multiple times before I succeeded in talking to a real person, and even then it needed several attempts beforethey implemented  what I was asking for,   ie to have prize money paid into my bank account instead of receiving a paper warrant,   was actually implemented.  .

An article on the Daily Mail/Money Mail website yesterday, 11th April 2023, obtained via a Freedom of Information request:

The luckiest ever Premium Bond winner has taken home a total of £1,019,850, across 288 prizes, since they bought their first bond in May 2004, Money Mail can reveal.

One bondholder has bagged more wins over the same time, with 408 prizes.

How foolish.  Many, many holders will have received more than 408 prizes over 19 years.

How MSE is drowning in this calibre of nonsense.
