I may try this theory soon and cash and re-invest
£0 this month ...
Holding £20k ... or there abouts
If you did this wouldn't you miss out on 1 month draw (or one month interest?)
If so I don't see it a a very good plan ?

I put just £300 into premium bonds early last year as a trial & won £50 in December. :j
I'll definitely be putting more money into them now.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Between the 2 of us £150 with 54k holding. So far this year we are about level with what we would have made in the bank. Not very exciting!0

Ooh goody - another £50 for me. That's 2 x £50 in 4 months on a £5,350 holding, but the last win before that was three years ago, so not really a good return on my investment! Always dreaming of a big prize though.

im not really bothered just interested to see if it works0 -
Bonds been great for me up to now. £15000 that I've had for one draw got me £200. Brilliant return (up to now)0

i have been compiling some statistics since the beginning of 2003
year winnings holding interest rate
2003 £200 £19650 1.02%
2004 £900 £19650 4.58%
2005 £350 £18500 1.87%
2006 £1550 £21090 7.35%
these figures are not very scientific as i have been withdrawing and adding in an haphazard way. also, the holdings stated are the the highest i have held in any given time in that year. so it has to be said that the holding has been lower in the year.
therefore, the interest is a conservative figure
not sure if it was a waste of time posting this lolRound Figures OCD Club!

A couple of those £100,000 winners must be celebrating! One has won with a bond £25 bought in March 1974, total holding £25, and one has won with a bond of £5 bought in Dec 1967 total holding £6.0
