    Yippppeeeee......!

Feb has been my best month yet!

Have only ever won smaller £50 amounts, with the occasional rare £100.00. The last win was for £50 in November.

So a 2 month wait, This month has won 3 prizes, a new first for me too totalling £600, made up of 1x £500 and 2x £50

    so happy!

Dont know my total holding value as I would like to be surprised one day and told that it is maxed out, a sort of mystery savings pot currently which I add to monthly! Winnings are automatically re-invested.

Wow!! OMG!! 3 months with 30k and 4 months with 5k in premium bonds and I have finally won something!

£50! My faith is slightly restored! I had the envelope ready to go to cash the rest in after cashing in 25k 4 months ago. Think I'll leave it for now and see what happens!

  • My parents bought me £50 when I was a toddler, and since I started work after uni I've occasionally scraped up any spare cash and bought a few for myself. From last year I've just over £2k worth. Only ever one £50 prize. Did some thinking and decided to cash all but £200 in (after this month's draw, natch, there's always a chance ;)) and use it to top up my ISA and put the rest in my new IceSave account.

On the other hand, my parents have always done fairly well with regular prizes in the £50 to £100 range (they've got about £20k worth of Premium Bonds between them, I think). They seem to win around the same time that something needs replacing, though. EG Mum won £50 in the same week that she snapped the indicator stalk off Dad's steering wheel. Replacement cost? £55. :rotfl:

Did anyone look at the list of high value winners for this month .... several high prizes went to bond holder's who had very little in the way of Premium Bonds, some as little as £2.

Noticed an increased number of Hertfordshire based winnders too.

Usually, their numbers are quite low...

Well done Lopo and other winners this month. I'm pleased as I was starting to lose faith; bought £30,000 of bonds in October:

    December: £0
    January: £0
    February: £550

Will keep them for at least another nine months but think I'm unlikely to beat my Coventry First account rate over the year.
