The lower value prizes for January are now available. Click on the Premium Bond Checker link.

    I've won £50 this month. :j
    Please call me 'Kazza'.
  • £150 in January from a holding of £8552. First prize for six months but I won £50 for each of the five months before that. I have an automatic reinvestment so I have £8702 now (the £2 is from 1963!!)

Not surprised about the nothing for the last 3 months - the first 3 months is unlucky though.
I'm getting £50 a month which is what I expect - should get 2 x £50 at some point though.
  • Havent read the the whole thread, but just wanted to comment on the whole statistics vs people looking for patterns & looking/thinking there ways of improving chances of winning.

I know lots of people who seriously think you have more chance of winning the lotto if you pick your own numbers rather than lucky dips. They see lucky dips as introducing another layer of chance into the equation (which it doesn't). Is that relevant in this thread-who knows!
  • 2 x £50 for me :T

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Bought £1000 of bonds in March 2006 and won £50 on April draw, won nothing since.

After reading views and comments on MSE I stopped deluding myself, cashed them in after Dec double draw and put the money in my YBS internet saver. May pay it off the mortgage or add to S&S ISA.

Filled in my form today. Gonna withdraw £4800 ad leave £200 in there.

Miniscule amount, but you got to be in it to win anything, I have lost a fair bit of interest thanks to PB's (but thats the chance you take), however, I don't want to not have any chance whatsoever.

If people are leaving their money in there for the million, well, they are deluding themselves, it wasn't that which made me put my money in, it was the thought of the lower value prizes, which may knock me above the interest rate. However, sadly, I never won anything!

I also have a bit of a problem with giving the government a free loan and loosing inflation on it. I did when I first put it in, but you got to try!
  • Nothing for me this month, have won £50 and had them nearly a year - mine have been gradually bought over the year though.

    Whooo!

    finally I won £100

    :T

I have 1000 bonds but only had 100 for 9 months (won nothing) then brought the extra 900 3 months ago with a bonus I got at work. Will probably be taking the lot out after the last double draw in June (or July I forget).

I know I only have a miniscule chance of winning but it's better than chucking a fiver a week away on lotto tickets & I do enjoy a gamble :)

    Good luck all,
    worto.
