Bad month!£54k between us and only £100!
  • My first ever win. Woo! £50

The weird thing is I decided halfway through August that this would be my last draw before withdrawing as I'd never won anything ever. I had a sneaky suspicion these mind games would work ... lol

Still a terrible return on my investment, but maybe I will keep them for one more month before putting them in a savings account

My first ever win too !!!!

It's taken two years of trying, but finally Ernie picked the right one. Only £50, but it's a start from my £3K worth. Oddly enough, this is the first time I've ever checked on the NS&I website. Usually just waited til I got notification from them, but it never came !

Yes large blocks.I guess on average £150 to £250 a month I would expect.£25k went in the beginning of the year and £29k about 3 months ago.

Frankly I think it`s a bit of a waste of time but my wife is quite keen on them.Just looking for a better investment.Stock market looks a bit shaky with talk of recession and my full savings would just about cover a couple of i bed flats but that`s a bubble waiting to burst imho.
  • pobby , think your probably right , but history shows that when the stock market goes up the housing market goes down , then vice versa .

its just a case of getting into the right one , i personally believe the markets will rise and the houses will fall .

im hoping anyway , a good interest rate rise would be welcome aswell , as my savings outweigh my mortgage and it will put a few in their place who really have no idea about reality at the moment

Ah yes, certaimly will put a few in their place if interest rates go up.In fact,I think it is happening already.I did well in stocks during the late 90`s.However lost a packet beginning of 2000 but hung on in there and still came out with a {modest} profit.

As to your point about further rises in the market I am still not convinced.Levels of debt, rising energy prices
not sure where there that`s leading us.

House price drops. To be honest I thought they would drop way long ago.I guess people are just feeding the market. My guess is that the buy-to-let brigade will in many cases come a cropper.
  • At last, the summer drought seems to be over. 3x50 this month
  • Hi All

Another three wins this month. 1 x £100 and 2 x £50. That's a total of £800 since our first draw in November last year. I must be on a good return compared to interest rate from a bank (just under £20,000 invested)?
