Looks like they are giving away more prizes to tempt new investors/more money.

Yep, they are indeed. There is a thread on this already: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=260882

  • Premium Bonds - what a complete waste of time!

£24000 in premium bonds and what have i won so far this year- just £200 quid!

with this amount invested - what happend to the theory that i should win at least £50 each month for 9 months of the year?

Thinking of pulling the money out and extending the house - im sure this will generate a better return when it comes to sell or rent out!

Well you've had pretty bad luck!

I've just bought another £200 worth, so hoping for a decent win with new bonds. I know the NS&I website disputes the myths about new bonds winning more than old ones, but my current holding hasn't produced any wins for over three years.

Big Winners List for October is now online:

    http://www.nsandi.co.uk/products/pb/winnerlist.jsp

    good luck all
  • The £25,000 winner won 193 times their holding and two other winners of £10,000 and £5,000 mutiplied their holdings by 100.

The two new millionaires multipled their stakes by just 46 and 33.

Of the five mentioned above, I wonder which one will get most benefit from their windfalls.

    :)

Unlucky again this month, however I've just invested another £200 in the hope of winning one of the five £1m prizes in December. You never know, the myth about new bonds not winning more prizes may not be a myth at all! :D
