Since 2012 my wife and I have won over 100 prizes on Ernie and they have all been £25. This month we managed another 3x£25 between us.
On this site we see many posts where people have also registered a win of £25.
What I am wondering is, are there really any prizes other than £25 or we we all being conned?

Have you won big on the premium bonds with a small holding but don't even know?
One winner yet to claim a £100k prize has just £6 of bonds

I've won a single prize greater than £50. I have no reaon to doubt that the other prizes exist also, but they are rare - and I wouldn't expect a million pound winner to post that fact on this thread anyway.

The answers to your questions are Yes and No respectively.

I've seen figures for the number of prizes in one month had roughly 1.8 million prizes of £25 and 35 000 for higher amounts, so you are far more likely to win £25.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

When I have a block of bonds that stop winning for several months I sell up and buy new blocks and strangely, like you, I notice that I have a change of fortune. Certainly makes you wonder doesn't it?

Your buying pattern has no influence on the thermal noise in the transistors that determine which numbers come out of ERNIE.

I believe new bonds are not entered in the draw until a full calendar month has elapsed, so your strategy reduces your chances of winning because your purchase is 'out of the market' for a month.

Nothing again this month, that's just £25 in 7 mths. On £20k. Was waiting for this mth. So I can remove and put in Santander 123 ready for April.

If my maths is correct, chances of only 1 prize or worse on £20K over 7 months, are about 1 in 34.
